One mundane night in the mid-1970s I was lounging on the family couch downstairs with the headphones on listening to the Steely Dan album Pretzel Logic. The third track on the album was a song called “Any Major Dude.”  I’m not sure why, but suddenly I was awash in a comforting blanket of loving warmth.
