Our Complete List Of Led Zeppelin Compilation Albums And Songs presents the major official Led Zeppelin compilation albums, retrospective collections, and catalog box sets released after the band’s original studio-album era. Unlike most major rock acts, Led Zeppelin did not release a greatest-hits album while the band was still active. We open with Coda because it functions as a posthumous collection of previously unreleased recordings, although Led Zeppelin’s official discography classifies Coda as a studio album. The first conventional career-spanning compilation was the Led Zeppelin Boxed Set in 1990. The catalog later expanded through best-of collections, remastered box sets, and two official digital-only compilations released for the band’s 50th anniversary in 2018.
Coda (Original Release)
Released November 19, 1982
Coda was released on November 19, 1982, after Led Zeppelin had disbanded following the death of John Bonham. Although it is officially classified as a studio album, it is built primarily from previously unreleased recordings made during sessions spanning the band’s career. Its title refers to the concluding passage of a musical composition, an appropriate name for the final album assembled from material recorded during Led Zeppelin’s original lifetime.
The album also helped satisfy the band’s remaining contractual obligations while gathering material that had not appeared on the original studio albums. The eight-track release reaches back to recordings associated with several different periods of Led Zeppelin, from early live performances to outtakes from the sessions for Led Zeppelin III, Houses of the Holy, and In Through the Out Door.
Jimmy Page also cited the widespread circulation of bootlegged Led Zeppelin recordings as one reason to issue more of the band’s remaining material officially. Later expanded editions of Coda gathered additional non-album recordings and, in the 2015 deluxe edition, a substantial collection of alternate mixes and previously unreleased material.

The Complete Studio Recordings is a comprehensive ten-disc box set released by Atlantic Records. It contains Led Zeppelin’s eight studio albums released during the band’s original lifetime, plus an expanded Coda. Because Physical Graffiti occupies two discs, the complete album catalog fills ten CDs. The albums are organized in a space-saving sequence that pairs titles across double-disc booklets rather than presenting every package strictly chronologically. The expanded Coda adds “Baby Come On Home,” “Travelling Riverside Blues,” “White Summer/Black Mountain Side,” and the non-album B-side “Hey, Hey, What Can I Do.” The box also includes a booklet featuring an essay by Cameron Crowe and photographs of the band.

The Definitive Collection

The Definitive Collection is a twelve-disc mini-LP replica box set that gathers Led Zeppelin’s eight original-lifetime studio albums, the expanded Coda, and the expanded version of the live soundtrack The Song Remains the Same. The packaging reproduces the original album artwork in miniature form, making the set both a catalog collection and an elaborate physical presentation of the band’s major album releases through that point.
