Jazz Artists List and Directory is an important page that showcases links to all the jazz artists that are presented on classicrockhistory.com. Rock and roll comes out of the music of blues and jazz. The wonderful sound of jazz music is connected to classic rock in so many ways. This is a music history site so its important to make all connections. There are so many subgenres of jazz music from early blues based jazz to big band & swing through bebop, cool jazz, modern jazz, 60s fusion, 70s slick, 80s fusion and on. The exploration of jazz styles is a continuous concept that seeps into rock and roll through many avenues. Just listen to Mike Stern play a screaming guitar solo on one of his hard rocking 90s jazz pieces or Charlie Parker tearing it up on saxophone in the 40s. It’s all related to rock and roll.
