Our Top 10 Norah Jones songs list takes a listen to 10 of our favorite Norah Jones songs from one of the biggest selling jazz artists of all time. Born in Manhattan in 1979, Norah Jones is the daughter of legendary musician Ravi Shankarh. The young musical artist would break into the music scene and make a name for herself with the release of her debut album entitled Come As You As You Are that swept the Grammy Awards the year it came out. Since the release of her debut album, Norah Jones has released seven albums and twenty three singles. She has also become one of the biggest selling jazz artists of the past twenty five years as her music has crossed the genres of jazz, easy listening, blues and pop.

The song did not break onto any of the US Billboard charts. Yet, it was still a fabulous recording.

It was the fourth single released from the album. This one has such a great groove and a very endearing lyric. She’s just so good.

We simply love the electric piano groove at the sort of this fantastic song. It was the first single released from the album. The song broke onto the US Billboard Hot Adult Alternative Airplay charts where it reached all the way up to number one. However, it was an even bigger hit on the US Billboard Hot Adult Alternative Airplay charts where it reached all the way up to number one.

At the number four spot on our top 10 Norah Jones Songs list we present the song “What Am I To You.” This one has a great laid back bluesy almost gospel like feel to it. It was the second single released from the album. The song was a huge hit on the US Billboard Hot Adult Alternative Airplay charts where it reached all the way up to number one.

These next three Norah Jones songs are all simply breathtaking recordings. At number three on our list is the Norah Jones Song “Come Away With Me.”The song was the title track to Norah Jones’ wonderful Grammy Award winning debut album. The album was released in 2002. “Come Away With Me” was third single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Adult Alternative Airplay charts where it reached all the way up to number twelve.
# 2 – Don’t Know Why
You known this just might be the most laid back successful pop song of all time. Norah Jones’ legendary single “Don’t Know Why,” was her breakthrough single that turned her into a household name and made her one of the biggest musical sensations to come along in years. This song was so big in 2002. It was also her first single release of her career. The song was released on the album entitled Come As You Are. “Don’t Know Why,” would become the highest charting song Norah Jones would ever celebrate on the Billboard Hot 100 where the song peaked at number thirty. However the song’s legacy will always be defined by the amount of Grammy Awards that it won as it captured three Grammys for the young singer including Grammys for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, Record of the Year and Song of the Year. What a way to begin a career.

We close out our top 10 Norah Jones Songs list with this strikingly beautiful song entitled “Sunrise.” While nowhere near as popular as “Don’t Know Why,” we always liked this one better. It’s such a brilliantly written and well performed song. The song was released on the album entitled Feels Like Home. The album was released in 2004. It was the first single released from the album. On the charts it actually did better than “Don’t Know Why,” as “Sunrise,” became a number one hit on the US Billboard Hot Adult Alternative Airplay charts where it reached all the way up to number one.
