The album reached number thirteen on the Billboard 200 and established Spiritbox as one of the leading bands in modern heavy music.
The band released the three-song EP Rotoscope in June 2022, featuring “Rotoscope,” “Sew Me Up,” and “Hysteria.” Spiritbox followed it with The Fear of Fear in November 2023. That EP included “The Void,” “Jaded,” “Cellar Door,” and “Ultraviolet.”
Spiritbox released its second studio album, Tsunami Sea, in March 2025. The record reached number one on Billboard‘s Top Hard Rock Albums chart and number twenty-six on the Billboard 200. By 2026, the band had earned three consecutive Grammy Award nominations for Best Metal Performance with “Jaded,” “Cellar Door,” and “Soft Spine.”

Spiritbox fuses electronic elements with alternative metal to create a distinctive sound. Courtney LaPlante relies primarily on her clean voice, proving again that her range extends far beyond screamed vocals.
# 4 – Hysteria
“Hysteria” appears on the Rotoscope EP, released in 2022. The song deals with guilt, self-destruction, emotional pain, and the attempt to regain control. The narrator tries to save pieces of herself while trapped in a state of hysteria, yet still looks toward the possibility of a new beginning.
The band crafted one of its strongest songs with powerful lyrics and a memorable melody. She cannot change the past, but she can learn from it and refuse to let difficult experiences determine who she becomes.
