Weezer’s journey from a fledgling band in Los Angeles to becoming iconic purveyors of alternative rock is as unique as their sound, quirky, dynamic, and packed with unforgettable melodies. Formed in 1992, the band initially consisted of Rivers Cuomo on vocals and guitar, Patrick Wilson on drums, Matt Sharp on bass, and Jason Cropper on guitar. Their self-titled debut, Weezer, popularly known as the Blue Album, was released in 1994 and propelled them into the mainstream.
