Conan Gray was born in Lemon Grove, California, and spent much of his childhood moving before settling in Georgetown, Texas. As a teenager, he began uploading vlogs, covers, and original songs to YouTube. “Idle Town,” released independently in 2017, gave his growing online audience an original song to rally around and helped lead to his signing with Republic Records.

The five-song EP Sunset Season arrived in 2018 with “Idle Town,” “Generation Why,” “Crush Culture,” “Greek God,” and “Lookalike.” Its combination of small-town detail, loneliness, and melodic pop songwriting established the perspective Gray would continue developing on his first full-length album.

Kid Krow was released in 2020 and debuted at number five on the Billboard 200. The twelve-song album included “Maniac,” “Wish You Were Sober,” “Comfort Crowd,” “The Cut That Always Bleeds,” and “Heather.” The latter became his biggest early crossover success and introduced his writing to a much wider international audience.

Gray followed the album with the singles “Overdrive,” “Astronomy,” and “People Watching.” Those songs became part of Superache, released in 2022. The album’s standard twelve-track sequence was expanded in Japan with “Telepath” and “Overdrive,” bringing the project represented here to fourteen songs.

Found Heaven arrived in 2024 with a brighter, more theatrical synth-pop sound. Its thirteen-song program included “Never Ending Song,” “Lonely Dancers,” “Alley Rose,” “Bourgeoisieses,” “Killing Me,” and “Winner.” The record moved away from the muted bedroom-pop textures of Gray’s earlier work without abandoning his focus on rejection and emotional uncertainty.

Gray released his fourth studio album, Wishbone, on August 15, 2025. The twelve-song album reunited him with producer Dan Nigro and included “This Song,” “Vodka Cranberry,” “Caramel,” “Actor,” “Class Clown,” and “Care.” Its writing returned to a more direct and confessional style while retaining the larger vocal and production scale of his later work.

Wishbone Deluxe followed on April 24, 2026. The expanded seventeen-track edition added five songs: “Do I Dare,” “House That Always Rains,” “Door,” “Moths,” and “The Best.” Those five recordings have been added to the restored catalog below.
