Alien Ant Farm is an American rock band formed in Riverside, California, in 1996. Known for their energetic music and unique cover songs, the band gained widespread recognition with their cover of Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal.” Over the years, Alien Ant Farm has released several albums, showcasing a blend of alternative rock and punk influences. The band has seen a number of lineup changes, with members joining and leaving at different points in their career. Despite these changes, they have maintained a strong presence in the rock music scene, continuing to record and perform.

Dryden Mitchell

Dryden Mitchell, the lead vocalist, has been with Alien Ant Farm since its formation in 1996. He is a key figure in the band, contributing significantly to their distinct sound and style. Mitchell played a crucial role in the band’s early success, particularly with the album “ANThology” (2001), which featured their famous cover of “Smooth Criminal.” His vocals and songwriting have been central to all of Alien Ant Farm’s albums. Outside the band, Mitchell has been involved in various musical projects but is best known for his role in Alien Ant Farm.

Terry Corso

Terry Corso, the guitarist, is a founding member of Alien Ant Farm. He contributed to the band’s first three albums, including their breakout album “ANThology.” Corso’s guitar work is a staple of the band’s sound, combining energetic riffs with melodic lines. He briefly left the band but rejoined in 2008 and has been a part of their subsequent albums.

Tye Zamora

Tye Zamora, the original bassist and backing vocalist, was with the band from its inception until 2014. His bass playing and backing vocals are featured on the band’s key albums, including “ANThology,” “truANT” (2003), and “Up in the Attic” (2006). Zamora’s musicianship was crucial to the band’s sound, and his departure marked a significant change.

Mike Cosgrove

Drummer Mike Cosgrove has been a constant member since the band’s formation. His drumming is essential to Alien Ant Farm’s rhythm section, contributing to all their major releases. Cosgrove’s style blends power and precision, providing a solid backbone for the band’s music. His consistent performance over the years has been integral to the band’s sound and success.

Alex Barreto

Alex Barreto joined Alien Ant Farm as the bassist in 2006, replacing Tye Zamora. He contributed to the album “Up in the Attic.” Barreto’s tenure with the band was relatively brief, as he left in 2008, but his contributions during this period helped the band maintain their momentum.

Tim Peugh

Tim Peugh briefly joined as the bassist in 2008 after the departure of Alex Barreto. His time with the band was short, and he did not record any major albums with them. Peugh’s role was primarily during live performances and a transitional period for the band.

Joe Hill

Joe Hill joined Alien Ant Farm as the guitarist in 2004, replacing Terry Corso. Hill was a part of the band for a few years, contributing to their evolving sound during his tenure. He played on the album “Up in the Attic.” Hill’s role in the band was during a phase of experimentation and change in their musical direction.
