The Age of Quarrel

Released September 1986

The band’s fantastic debut album featured John Joseph on vocals, Parris Mitchell Mayhew on rhythm guitar, Doug Holland on lead guitar, Harley Flanagan on bass, and Mackie Jayson on drums. The album opened up with the intense killer track We Gitta Know. We featured a video of the song below. This stiff was amazing and really groundbreaking for the time. There were some big changes in the band’s sound on their sophomore album. And of course, we loved what they did with the extended songs and the jump into some pretty heavy thrash and hardcore sounds. The album featured Harley Flanagan on bass and lead vocals taking over for the departed John Joseph. The lineup also included Doug Holland on lead guitar, Parris Mitchell Mayhew on rhythm guitar, and new drummer Pete Hines replacing Mackie Jayson.

Alpha Omega

Released May 12, 1992

The band’s third album saw some significant changes in the lineup. Founding member Parris Mitchell Mayhew who wrote most of the songs on the album with Rob Buckley was absent form the album. The lineup for the third album saw the return of John Joseph on lead vocals as well as Harley Flanagan on bass and backing vocals, Doug Holland on lead guitar, Gabby Abularach on rhythm guitar, and Dave di Censo on drums.

Revenge

Released January 18, 2000

The Cro-Mags’ fifth studio album saw once again the departure of John Joseph on vocals which handed back the lead vocals responsibilities to bassist Harley Flanagan. Fans of the original lineup were happy to see the return of founding member Parris Mitchell Mayhew on rhythm guitar. The band also welcomed a new guitarist in the band with Suicidal Tendencies lead guitarist Rocky George. On drums was Dave di Censo.
