Joe Lynn Turner is an American singer, songwriter, and musician born on August 2, 1951, in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is best known for his work with bands such as Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force. Turner began his music career in the early 1970s with the band Fandango before joining Rainbow in 1980. During his time with Rainbow, he contributed to three studio albums and several hit singles, including “Stone Cold” and “Street of Dreams.”

As a solo artist, Joe Lynn Turner has released eleven studio albums: Rescue You (1985), Nothing’s Changed (1995), Under Cover (1997), Hurry Up and Wait (1998), Under Cover 2 (1999), Holy Man (2000), Slam (2001), JLT (2003), The Usual Suspects (2005), Second Hand Life (2007), and Belly of the Beast (2022). His solo work showcases his versatile vocal style and strong songwriting abilities, blending hard rock and melodic rock elements.
