The Marvin Gaye Albums Discography presents the entire album collection of the incredible music released by the legendary Marvin Gaye. The late Marvin Gaye would become one of the most influential pop music soul singers of the 20th century. Along with Smokey Robinson and Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye was one of the jewels of Motown Records becoming one of the labels most important artists. During the early part of his career he was known as a singles artist as were most artists on Motown Records. Yet he was still releasing solo albums during that time. However, things changed when he released his groundbreaking album What’s Going On in 1971. No longer just a soul singer, Marvin Gaye’s music had turned towards the civil un rest of the late 1960s and other political and social issues.

Marvin Gaye was born in 1939. Sadly, Marvin Gaye was shot by his father and died on April 1st 1984. He left behind a musical body of work that fans have enjoyed for years. Marvin Gaye released seventeen solo studio albums between the years 1961 and 1982. He also released four very much loved collaborative duet albums. One was released with Mary Wells, one with Kim Weston, one with Diana Ross and three with  Tammi Terrell, Below is a list of all his studio and live albums in chronological order with a select few also offering the tracks on the records.
