Our Top 10 Carly Rae Jepsen songs list looks back at the career of a popular young artist who had a massive worldwide number one single entitled “Call Me Maybe,” back in 2012. When an artist becomes established with such a huge number one hit around the world, they pretty much can count on being able to perform forever just based on the popularity of that one song. However since  Carly Rae Jepsen was just in her twenties when she achieved major success, the future still looks bright for this young talented singer who has continued to work hard and release music over the past nine years since she had that huge single.

Carly Rae Jepsen is another fine singer songwriter that hails from the north in British Columbia. Her career began as a contestant on the Canadian version of American Idol. While her first major hit single was a dance pop tune, her career began with the release of a folk music album in 2008 entitled Tug Of War which was the same title as Paul McCartney’s brilliant 1980s Tug Of War album.

With the release of her number one single “Call Me Maybe,” in 2012 hitting number one, other show business doors began to open for the multi talented artist. One of those doors would be on Broadway as she got a role in New York’s Broadway production of Cinderella in 2014. A few years later she would be appearing in the live television broadcast of Grease. However, as she enjoyed success on the theatrical stage and silver screen, Carly Rae Jepsen continued to release new music. Since her album debut,  Carly Rae Jepsen has released five full length studio albums , four EPS and close to thirTY singles. It was also the highest charting single release from the record as it hut number thirty two on the Canadian Music Charts.

The song OMG was recorded in collaboration with DJ producer Dan Griffith who goes by the stage name Gryffin.

The album was released in 2018. It was the first single released from the album. The song just broke into the top 100 of the Canadian music charts peaking at number 100. # 6 – Curiosity

The EP was released in 2012.  It was the second single released from the album. The song was a top 20 hit in Canada peaking at. number eighteen on the Canadian Music Charts. This one is very similar to “Call Me Maybe.”

# 5 – Tonight I’m Getting Over You

At the halfway point on our top 10 Carly Rae Jepsen songs list is the heartbreaking song “Tonight I’m Getting Over You.” This great single also featured hip hop star Nicki Minaj. The song was issued on the album entitled Kiss. The album was released in 2012. It was the final single released from the album. The song was a top hit in Belgium   peaking at number six.  In the United Kingdom the song hit number thirty three.

# 4 – I Really Like You

At the number four spot on our top 10 Carly Rae Jepsen songs list we present the song “I Really Like You.” The song was released on the album entitled Emotion. The album was released in 2015. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number thirty nine. The song also was a hit on the Canadian Music Charts reaching all the way up to number fourteen.It charted the highest in the United Kingdom and Ireland where it hit number three in both countries.

# 3 – Good Time (with Owl City)

The song was released on the album entitled Kiss.  It was the second single released from the album and served as the follow up to “Call Me Maybe.” The song was a top hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number eight. However, the song would go all the way to number one in her native home of Canada. The song was also was a  number one hit in New Zealand. “Good Time,” was also a big hit in the United Kingdom reaching all the way to number five.

# 2 – This Kiss

Just of the top spot on our top 10 Carly Rae Jepsen songs list we celebrate the song “This Kiss.” The song was released on the album entitled Kiss. The album was released in 2012. It was the third single released from the album.”This Kiss,” would hit number one in the county of Belgium. The song broke into the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number eight six. The song also was a hit on the Canadian Music Charts reaching all the way up to number twenty three. In New Zealand the song hit number thirty nine.

# 1 – Call Me Maybe

There was no way we could list any other song in the number one spot other than Carly Rae Jepsen’s massive number one single entitled “Call Me Maybe.” This was a song that was not just a number one single in the United States, it hit number one in the countries of the United Kingdom, Ireland,  Australia, Switzerland, France, New Zealand, the Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, Hungary, Luxembourg, Poland and Slovakia. That’s a lot of countries to hit number one. Only artists like The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson would hit number one in that many countries.

“Call Me Maybe” would eventually be released on the EP entitled Curiosity and her full length album Kiss. The song “Call Me Maybe” was composed by Carly Rae Jepsen  and Tavish Crowe. It stands as one of the biggest selling songs of the 2010s from any artist.
