Our top 10 Jimmy Eat World songs list takes a look at a great American rock and roll band from the state of Arizona that was first formed in the early 1990s. Hailing from the city of Mesa, Arizona, the group consisted of Jim Adkins on lead guitar and vocals, Tom Linton on rhythm guitar, Rick Burch on bass and Zach Lind on drums. Throughout the band’s career, Jimmy Eat World has released 10 studio albums. The first album was released in 1994 entitled Jimmy Eat World. In 2001, the band became a household name with their fabulous album titled Bleed American. # 10 – Coffee and Cigarettes

We open up our Jimmy Eat World songs list with the great track “Coffee and Cigarettes.”  The song was released on the band’s seventh album entitled Invented. The band would have some commercial success with this song as it hit number 23 on the US Billboard Alternative AirPlay charts. The song also featured Courtney Marie Andrews  on guest vocals.

# 9 -Work

Continuing with our Jimmy Eat World songs list we present the track entitled “Work.” The song was released in 2004 on the great album entitled Futures. It was released as the second single from the Futures album. One of our favorite rock singers of all time named Liz Phair fair was also featured on the track. This is a truly great Jimmy Eat World song. The song hit number six on the US Billboard Alternative AirPlay charts.

# 8 – Sweetness

In the number eight position on our Jimmy Eat World songs list is the incredibly catchy song entitled “Sweetness.” This is just one of those great rock and roll songs that you can’t get out of your head after hearing it for just the first time. The song was released on the band’s great album entitled Bleed American. It was released as the third single from the album. The album was released in 2001. The song went all the way to number 2 on the US Billboard Alternative AirPlay charts. This one even broke the US Billboard top 100 peaking at number 75.

# 7 – Futures

In the number seven spot on our to 10 Jimmy Eat World songs list we turn to the The rocking song “Futures.” This one kicks in right from the opening notes with it’s sort of Led Zeppelin style “Kashmir” riff.  The song was the title track to the band’s album Futures. The album was released in 2004.

# 6 – Bleed American

In the number six position on our Jimmy Eat World songs list is the title track to the great album entitled Bleed American. The album was released on July 24th 2001. After the September 11th attacks occurred just a few months later, the band changed the name of the song to “Salt Sweat Sugar.” The album would become the band’s first Platinum selling record. “Bleed American,” was released as the first single from the album.

# 5 – My Best Theory

At the halfway point on our Jimmy Eat World songs list we present the great tune entitled “My Best Theory.” This fabulous song was released as the lead single from the band’s album entitled Invented. The Invented album was the band’s seventh studio release. The album was issued in 2010. The song “My Best Theory,” hit number two on the Billboard Alternative songs charts and number nine on the Billboard Rock Songs charts. The band also got the song included on the soundtrack to the Tony Hawk: Shred video game.

# 4 – Sure and Certain

Moving alone on our Jimmy Eat World songs list we turn to one of the band’s most recent song releases. In the number four position on this  list we present the song “Sure and Certain.” The song was released in 2016 as a protest song against Donald Trump. The band released the song on the album entitled Integrity Blues. The song was released as the lead single from the album and hit number 10 on the US Billboard Alternative AirPlay charts.

# 3 – Big Casino

Well speaking of Donald Trump, we now turn to the song entitled “Big Casino.” This great song featured one of the best guitar licks we ever heard from the band. The song was released on the band’s sixth studio album entitled Chase This Light. “Big Casino,” was released as the first single from the album. The song hit number three on the US Billboard Alternative AirPlay charts. The song was also a top 40 hit in the wonderful country of Scotland.

# 2 – Pain

In the number two spot on our Jimmy Eat World song list we take a listen to the intense song entitled “Pain.” This is by far one of our favorite Jimmy Eat World songs. It’s such a great rock and roll tune that is so incredibly interesting and fun to listen to. The song “Pain,” was released on the band’s album entitled Futures. “Pain,” was issued as the lead single from the record. It would become one of the band’s biggest hits of the career. The song Hit number one on the billboard alternative AirPlay charts. It would also become the band’s second gold selling record.

# 1 – The Middle

We close out our Jimmy Eat World songs list with the great track entitled “The Middle.” the song The Middle was by far the band’s most successful single of their career. The song was released on their fourth album entitled Bleed American. It was the second single released from the album. The song became a top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking all the way up to number five. It also became a big hit around the world especially in the United Kingdom and Australia. It is the band’s only single to achieve platinum-selling status making it their biggest selling single of their entire career.
