This would become the last top 20 hit for KC And The Sunshine Band in the US. The song did very well in the United Kingdom where it became a number one hit. It was also viewed as sort of a comeback song for KC as it was also just attributed to KC when it was released.

They are done so well by KC whose official name if you don’t know is Harry Wayne Casey.

This is the one songs along with the Bee Gees “Staying Alive,” and Donna Summer’s Last Dance that really represented the peak musical moments of the disco era. It was released just at the start, but it became more popular every year throughout the 1970s and has continued to be one of the most famous songs ever released.
