As a talented singer aiming to influence people to encounter Jesus Christ through gospel music, Phil Wickham has had to overcome the odds to become one of the world’s most renowned contemporary Christian musicians. Phil was raised in a house full of musicians and was inspired to pursue music as a career after his pastor asked him to sing for a Saturday night youth group service. Although he always had a personal relationship with God, he felt a bigger desire to invest his time and resources into music that point people to God.

Phil Wickham has released ten albums throughout his career, with the latest album, Hymn of Heaven, released in 2021. In 2014, Phil Wickham had to take a break from music production after he was diagnosed with a vocal injury that kept him out for more than a year.

Usually, three or four people give their life to Christ in each of these situations. However, on this day, a flood of people gave their lives to God, which is how Phil was inspired.
