Our Top 10 Sheryl Crow album covers list presents our favorite Sheryl Crow album covers of all time. There are some artists that record companies never like to feature on albums covers and then there are some artists that record companies make it a major points to showcase on the LP or CD front cover of their artists. Sheryl Crow is definitely one of those artists that a record company is going to want to show off in helping sell records. As we all know, Sheryl Crow stands as one of the all time most beautiful women in rock and roll. Without a doubt, her beauty and stunning artistry would be utilized by her record companies to help promote her albums.
While the importance of an album cover may not be what it used to be, It was still important during many of the years Sheryl Crow was releasing her albums. It also made it tough to choose our top 10 favorites because she has so many beautiful album covers. How could she not? A simple polaroid of Sheryl Crow gracing an album cover would still outshine most other artists album covers.
When selecting our favorite Sheryl Crow album covers we took all studio albums into consideration as well as all of her compilations and live albums. We did not count all of her CD singles that she released throughout the years because there are so many. We will probably do a separate list just for them. Our choices for the top 10 Sheryl Crow album covers are of course just subjective. Nonetheless, the article is also an informational piece as it showcase these beautiful Sheryl Crow album covers along with some helpful information on the albums themselves.
All these Sheryl Crow album covers are based on the original US releases. Many of the albums were released as imports with alternate covers which we decided to omit for this particular list just to keep it fair. They will show up in part 2 which will include the singles.
# 10 – The Very Best of Sheryl Crow
We open up our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers list with Sheryl Crow’s first greatest hits package entitled The Very Best of Sheryl Crow. We love this cover because it really speaks to Sheryl Crow the songwriter. With her guitar up front and a pose that defines her artistry, this was a perfect photograph for a greatest hits package. The album The Very Best of Sheryl Crow was released in 2003. The album hit number two on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts.
# 9 – Tuesday Night Music Club
Continuing with our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we move on to Sheryl Crow’s debut album entitled Tuesday Night Music Club. The album’s cover art was very much a sign of the times of the mid 1990s when many albums covers were showcased using collages of multiple pictures and graphics. We were not really sure who Sheryl Crow was at the time and the album cover sort of hides her within the graphics. It’s very similar to the way Alanis Morissette was presented on her debut album cover a couple of years later. It’s all about keeping a little mystery as to who this new fabulous artist really was.
Tuesday Night Music Club was released in 1993. The album hit number two on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts. Six singles were released from the album. In the end the album has sold more than seven million copies in the United States alone. What a way to begin a career.Nice job Sheryl Crow.
# 8 – Home for Christmas
In the number eight spot on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we present the album entitled Home for Christmas. The pose, the outfit, the background color, it all works so well in such an attractive way. The album was released in 2008 originally as just a Hallmark exclusive release. However, this album was just too good to maintain a small card store release. In 2011, it was released worldwide on CD by A&M Records.
# 7 – Live At Budokan
In the number seven position on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List is the album entitled Live At Budokan. The album cover has a sort of a Bruce Springsteen Born in the U.S.A feel to it. The cover featured the pants that Sheryl Crow wore during her 2002 tour in Japan. If you didn’t pick up this great live album when it was first released in 2003, your going to have to search the used record stores for a copy because it has been long out of print.
# 6 – C’mon, C’mon
Landing in the number six spot on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we present the album entitled C’mon, C’mon. The album featured the great early 70s style hit single “Soak Up The Sun.” Sheryl Crow celebrates summer and life itself on this beautiful album cover. The video for the single was also spectacular. The album was released in 2002. The album hit number two on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts. Sheryl Crow never reached the number one spot on the Top 200 but she hit number two four times with four different album releases.
# 5 – Sheryl Crow
At the halfway point on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List is the album entitled Sheryl Crow. This was one of her most successful albums. We actually love the import cover of the album as it featured Sheryl Crow dressed up like she appeared in the album’s lead single “If It Makes You Happy.” The domestic cover featured Sheryl Crow with the same makeup and hair that she showcased in the video. This was a bit of an image change that pretty much just lasted for the one song. But what a song and image it was. The album was released in 1996. The album hit number two on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts.
# 4 – Detours
At the number four spot on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we present the album entitled Detours. This was a serous record for Sheryl Crow and the album cover really represented the music of a brilliant artist quite well. Sheryl Crow was one of the few artists of the 2000s along with Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young who was not afraid to stand up for she believed in without fear of consequence. We love her for that
# 3 – Feels Like Home
Moving along on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we present the album entitled Feels Like Home. Sheryl Crow went to Nashville and released her first and only country album. Call it what you want, but in the end it was still a great Sheryl Crow album.This beautiful cover defined the spirit of the album perfectly as this gorgeous woman just continues to look breathtaking with every passing year.
# 2 – 100 Miles From Memphis
Now talk about a stunning portrait. Just of the top spot on our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List we showcase the album entitled 100 Miles From Memphis. The album cover further cements the argument that black and white portraits are the way to go when shooting a subject of utter beauty. You can feel her sense of soul in that smile that the photographer captured so wonderfully. The album was released in 2010. The album hit number three on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts.
# 1 – Wildflower
We wrap up our top 10 Sheryl Crow Album Covers List with the album entitled Wildflower. Maybe it’s just because we grew up in the 60s and 70s that makes us love this retro looking album cover so much. The beauty of Sheryl Crow is on full display wrapped around symbols of her artistry and her own experiences growing up during the 60s and 70s. The Wildflower album was released in 2005. The album hit number two on the US Billboard Top 200 Albums Charts.
