Our Top 10 Tame Impala songs lists looks at the studio work of the brilliant Australian musician and composer Kevin Parker and his brand of  psychedelic music for the 2010s.  Kevin Parker plays all the instrument on every Tame Impala studio album similar to the way musicians like Todd Rundgren and Lenny Kravitz have done with their studio albums. On the road Kevin Paler would employ musicians Dominic Simper, Jay Watson, Cma Avery and Julien Watson to play the album parts live. So far the Tame Impala discography consists of four studio albums including InnerSpeaker released in 2010, Lonerism released in 2012,  Currents released in 2015 and The Slow Rush released in 2020. # 10 – Solitude Is Bliss

We open up our top 10 Tame Impala songs list with the very cool track entitled “Solitude Is Bliss.” The song was released on the album entitled Innerspeaker.  It was the first  single released from the album.The album was released in 2010. The single “Solitude Is Bliss,” became the band’s first Gold selling record. The song also achieved a very significant status as it ranked very highly in the Australian radio Station Triple J’s yearly countdown of the years best songs when it ranked at number 36 for the year.

Continuing with our top 10 Tame Impala songs list we take a listen to the great song entitled “Patience.” The song was released on the Japanese only Edition of the album entitled The Slow Rush. The album was released in 2019. It was the fifth and final single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Charts peaking at number ten.

# 8 – Posthumous Forgiveness

In the number eight spot our top 10 Tame Impala songs list we present the song entitled “Posthumous Forgiveness.” The song was released on the album entitled The Slow Rush. The album was released in 2019. It was the third single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Charts peaking at number eight. The songs greatest descending bass line lends itself to sound very similar to 1970s classic rock song structures. Keven Parker plays all the instruments on this track.

# 7 – New Person, Same Old Mistakes

This one opens up with some airy strings fueled by a very cool bass line. In the number seven position our top 10 Tame Impala songs list is the song entitled “New Person, Same Old Mistakes.” The song was released on the album entitled Currents. It was placed as the closing song on the album. It was never released as a single. If the song sounds similar to some of you hip hop or pop fans it’s because the song was covered by the brilliant and very successful hip hop artist we all know as Rihanna. This is a really good one.

# 6 – Elephant

There’s a very strong 60s vibe happening on this one with a whole lot of Beatles meets Pink Floyd in the vocal and melody line. No, this is not the Billy Joel song, this is Tame Impala and Steven Zhu, collaborating on the great track. At the halfway point on our top 10 Tame Impala songs list we present the very cool song called “My Life.” The song was issued on the album entitled Ringos Desert. The album was released in 2018.

# 4 – Feels Like We Only Go Backwards

At the number four spot on our top 10 Tame Impala songs list we present the song “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards.” The song was released on the album entitled Lonerism. The album was released in 2012. It was the second single released from the album.  This one has a very heavy John Lennon Beatles vibe flowing through the song. And you know what, we are really digging it.

We close out our top 10 Tame Impala songs list with our favorite Tame Impala song Let It Happen. This is such a spectacular songs with a very heavy early 80s vibe. The video is also very intense.
