# 10 – You Oughta Know – The Killing Moon

We open up our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs songs list with one of the most iconic Alanis Morissette songs of all time. It’s pretty tough to cover this one because it’s just such a famous song and Alanis Morissette recorded the best version of the song that will ever be recorded. Yet, it’s also her most covered song. It’s an angry song so we thought we should go with an angry band. We listened to a lot of different versions of this song but we liked this one the best by the band The Killing Moon. This classic Alanis Morissette song was released on the album Punk Goes 90s.

# 9 – Regine Velasquez

Continuing with our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs list we take a listen to this luscious cover of the classic Alanis Morissette song titled “Head Over Feat.” This cover is really done well. There are some alternate chord changes that add a nice new dimension to the song. The vocal by Regine Velasquez is simply outstanding. Regine Velasquez is a huge star in the Philippines. She released the song on her album entitled Covers: Volume 2. The album was released in 2006.

# 8 -Uninvited

In the number eight spot on our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs list we present the song entitled “Uninvited.” This cover version is dramatically different from the last cover version on this list. Alanis Morissette songs definitely have a great vibe about them to be covered by heavy metal bands. Those songs on her debut album were dark. Much darker than they actually appear to be. We’re surprised more metal bands haven’t covered a lot more Alanis Morissette songs because they work really well in the genre. This cover version was done by the metal band Red Sun Rising.

# 7 – Hands Clean

In the number seven position on our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs list is another standard from the Under Rug Swept album entitled “Hand Clean.” This one was covered by the phenomenal Kelly Clarkson. While Alanis Morissette was the queen of female rock and roll, in the 1990s, it was Kelly Clarkson that would become one of the most popular singers of the 2000s after her win on American Idol. She hit a big-time home run with this great live cover of this wonderful Alanis Morissette song.

# 6 -Uninvited

Landing in the number six spot on our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs songs list we present the song “Uninvited.” It is the first of two covers of this song on this list. Featured here is the sensational LeAnn Rimes. Now, this is what we call singing. No microphone, no special effects no overdubs just brilliant singing captured in the middle of a living room. That my friends is talent.

# 5 – Perfect

At the halfway point on our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs  list is the song entitled Perfect. Kelly Clarkson makes this list twice singing covers of Alanis Morissette songs. This great live version was recorded in 2015. Kelly Clarkson adds some great riffs to this very special song. This is truly wonderful

# 4 – Hand In My Pocket

In the number three spot on our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs songs list we present the song entitled “Hand In My Pocket.” This one was done live by the band Imagine Dragons on the radio. We love live versions because they are as honest as it gets. The band sets a great groove with some very cool acoustic guitar riffs and the harmonies are just simply jaw-dropping. Nice version guys. We think Alanis Morissette would have liked this one.

# 3 – Thank You

Now, this is what you call a cover version. The great progressive rock mastermind of the 2000s Steven Wilson covered the big-time Alanis Morissette song. “Thank You” in a spectacular acoustic version. Steven Wilson keeps it very simple with his cover. It’s pretty much just piano and guitar and very tender vocals with a little added choir at the end. We love this one.  If you don’t know Steven Wilson, you must check out his solo albums as well as all his Porcupine Tree releases. What an artist.

# 2 – Ironic

We begin to close out our top 10 Best Covers Of Alanis Morissette Songs list with the song entitled “Ironic.” This version was done by Pinky Dread Vintage Reggae Soundsystem. Now you may ask who is Pinky Dread Vintage Reggae Soundsystem? Well, we have no idea, but who cares, we love this version. It seems to have been just released in 2020. The artist or band does covers of classic rock songs in reggae style. It’s been done before, but we like the way this artist does it. It’s Pinky Dread and the Vintage Reggae Soundsystem. Well alright then.
