This Complete List Of Badlands Albums Ranked list and discography takes a look at one of the most underrated and fabulous rock and roll bands to come out of the late 1980 and early 90s metal scene. The group was formed by musicians who had played both in Black Sabbath and with Ozzy Osbourne during his solo career. It was led by the sensational guitar playing of Jake E. Lee and the simply to die for phenomenal vocals of Ray Gillen. The group originally released two albums while they were together. An album of demos was finally released about six years after the band had broken up. Classic rock fans who are familiar with the band call Badlands one of rock and roll’s hidden gems. BADLANDS STUDIO ALBUMS

# 1 – Badlands

Released May 11, 1989

Badlands was the band’s debut album. The record quickly went out of print and fetched high prices on the resale market. It still does. The album featured Ray Gillen on lead vocals and harmonica, Jake E. Lee on guitars, mandolin, sitar and keyboards, Greg Chaisson on bass and Eric Singer on drums. With the personal involved on the album it pretty much was a supergroup release. This was an explosive album filled with Led Zeppelin style guitar riffs and vocals with a 80s metal band flair. Simply a five star album. The album hit number fifty seven on the Billboard Top 200 albums charts. It also sold four hundred thousand copies.

# 2 – Voodoo Highway

Released June 7, 1991

The second Badlands album was released two years after their debut album. The album featured Ray Gillen on lead vocals and harmonica, Jake E. Lee on guitars, mandolin, sitar and keyboards, Greg Chaisson on bass and Jeff Martin on drums replacing Eric Singer who went on to join Kiss.

# 3 – Dusk

Released December 15, 1998

The bands final album was actually released many years after the band had broken up and the passing of lead singer Ray Gillen. The album was not released in the United States originally. It was only released in the UK and Japan. The album consisted of demos that the group had made to present to Atlantic Records for their third album. However, Atlantic Records dropped the band because of poor sales of their second album and the third album was never released and actually never recorded. Only the demos remained which were still pretty good. It’s amazing this entire album was recorded in one day. The album featured Ray Gillen on lead vocals, Jake E. Lee on guitars,Greg Chaisson on bass and Jeff Martin on drums.
