Bruce Springsteen’s Blinded By the Light sung by 10 year old on stage with Bruce

There are moments on the rock and roll stage that capture an extraordinary performance that will never be forgotten by all audience members. Those moments happen quite often at Bruce Springsteen concerts. But every once in a while, an unexpected guest arrives on stage with Bruce Springsteen that completely knocks out the audience. Legendary performers have joined Bruce on stage like Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, Bob Seger, and Paul McCartney to only name a few that come quickly to mine. Nonetheless at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn NY on April 26 2016, Springsteen was joined on the stage by a young ten year old girl who knocked out the audience and Bruce himself.

Appearing on the stage with a sign requesting Bruce Springsteen to sing “Blinded by the Light,” the young girl shocked everyone by singing the song herself and remembering every word to the song. The audience went crazy as they saw Bruce Springsteen shocked at the sight of someone so young knowing every word to one his most challenging songs to sing. As they both wrapped up the performance, Bruce Springsteen offered a very sweet and sincere gesture to the fan by having her raise the banner she carried so the Boss could sign it for her. At that moment, the audience went completely nuts. That young girl will have one of the most incredible memorys any young music fan could ever have .

Bruce Springsteen’s “Blinded by the Light,” was first released on his album “Greetings from Asbury Park. It was Bruce Springsteen’s first album. The record was released in 1973. The song “Blinded By the Light,” was the opening song on side one of the album. It was never a radio hit for Bruce Springsteen. However, the group Manfred Man recorded a version of the song in 1977. Mann’s dramatically different version of the song was one of the band’s biggest hits of their careers. Manfred Mann’s version of “Blinded By the Light,” hit No 1. on the Billboard Charts in February of 1977. The young 10 years old may not have the same success that Manfred Mann had with the song “Blinded By the Light,” but her performance was ten times more enjoyable.
