Attitudes was a rock band from Los Angeles, comprising keyboardist David Foster, guitarist Danny Kortchmar, bassist Paul Stallworth, and drummer Jim Keltner. The group grew out of the circle of session musicians working around George Harrison’s album Extra Texture (Read All About It); Keltner, Stallworth, and Foster played on the album, while Kortchmar completed the four-man Attitudes lineup. They then recorded for Harrison’s Dark Horse record label. The band’s 1976 single “Sweet Summer Music” reached number 94 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a modest chart success. Additionally, James Taylor’s rendition of their song “Honey Don’t Leave L.A.” peaked at number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978, further highlighting the band’s influence.

The band’s discography includes two studio albums: Attitudes, released in 1976, and Good News, released in 1977. They also released several singles during their active years, including “Ain’t Love Enough” / “The Whole World’s Crazy” in 1975, “Honey Don’t Leave L.A.” / “Lend a Hand” and “Sweet Summer Music” / “If We Want To” in 1976, followed by “Sweet Summer Music” / “Being Here with You” and “In a Stranger’s Arms” / “Good News” in 1977. These releases contributed to their standing as respected musicians within the industry. Despite not achieving major commercial success, Attitudes is remembered for the considerable musical expertise of its members, each of whom continued to have successful careers in the music industry beyond their time with the band.
