Guns N’ Roses built one of hard rock’s most explosive catalogs, from the street-level danger of Appetite for Destruction and the acoustic detour of G N’ R Lies to the ambitious Use Your Illusion albums, punk covers, soundtrack recordings, archival releases, and the band’s newest singles. This complete A-to-Z guide gathers the group’s studio tracks, EP recordings, B-sides, covers, rarities, and standalone releases.

Guns N’ Roses burst onto the music scene in the mid-1980s, redefining the landscape of rock with raw energy, gritty lyrics, and an electrifying stage presence. Formed in Los Angeles in 1985, the band quickly gained notoriety for its unapologetic attitude and a sound that blended elements of hard rock, punk, and blues.
The original lineup, featuring frontman W. Axl Rose, guitarist Saul “Slash” Hudson, bassist Duff McKagan, guitarist Izzy Stradlin, and drummer Steven Adler, became synonymous with the rebellious spirit of rock and roll.
The band’s 1987 debut album, Appetite for Destruction, remains one of the most successful rock records of all time, fueled by anthems including “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” and “Paradise City.” The group’s rise continued with the ambitious Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II albums in 1991, which showcased a broader musical palette through songs such as “November Rain,” “Civil War,” and “Estranged.”
Despite internal tensions and lineup changes, Guns N’ Roses maintained its place in rock history. The long-awaited Chinese Democracy arrived in 2008, while the reunion of Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan brought the band back to stadiums around the world.
The band returned to the studio-release conversation with “Absurd” and “Hard Skool” in 2021, followed by “Perhaps” and “The General” in 2023. Guns N’ Roses released two more songs, “Nothin'” and “Atlas,” in December 2025 ahead of its 2026 world tour.
Known for a larger-than-life persona both on and off the stage, Guns N’ Roses remains a cultural force whose influence extends far beyond music. The catalog below traces that history from the band’s earliest recordings through its latest standalone singles.
