Supertramp, the British rock band known for blending progressive rock with pop sensibilities, formed in London in 1969. Rick Davies and Roger Hodgson became the group’s principal songwriters, while the classic lineup also featured John Helliwell on woodwinds and backing vocals, Bob Siebenberg on drums, and Dougie Thomson on bass. The contrast between Davies and Hodgson’s voices and writing styles became central to the band’s sound.

Supertramp released eleven studio albums, beginning with its self-titled debut in 1970. The band achieved its commercial breakthrough with Crime of the Century in 1974, which included “Dreamer,” “Bloody Well Right,” “School,” and the title track. Even in the Quietest Moments… followed in 1977 with “Give a Little Bit” and “Fool’s Overture.”

Breakfast in America, released in 1979, became a worldwide success through songs including “The Logical Song,” “Goodbye Stranger,” “Take the Long Way Home,” and the title track. Supertramp’s detailed production, melodic accessibility, and sophisticated arrangements helped the album become one of the defining rock releases of its era.

Roger Hodgson left the band after …Famous Last Words… in 1982. Rick Davies continued leading Supertramp through Brother Where You Bound, Free as a Bird, Some Things Never Change, and Slow Motion. Released in 2002, Slow Motion remains the band’s eleventh and final studio album.

Rick Davies died on September 6, 2025, at the age of 81 after a long battle with multiple myeloma. His voice, songwriting, piano playing, and unmistakable Wurlitzer sound were fundamental to Supertramp’s identity and remain central to the band’s lasting legacy.

The list below presents the Supertramp songs from the supplied article in continuous alphabetical order, preserving album titles, release years, the non-album single “Land Ho,” and the B-sides “Summer Romance” and “You Started Laughing (When I Held You in My Arms).”
