London’s O2 Arena exploded with electricity and nostalgia as the original Alice Cooper Group stunned a sold-out crowd, reuniting for the first time in over half a century for a performance that instantly became the stuff of rock legend. In front of twelve thousand devoted fans, Alice Cooper, Dennis Dunaway, Neal Smith, and Michael Bruce stormed the stage together to deliver a ferocious, emotional rendition of their anthemic classic “School’s Out”—the same day the band released The Revenge of Alice Cooper, their first full album together since 1973.

What started as a night already packed with energy reached its emotional apex when Johnny Depp joined Alice and his touring band for a high-voltage tribute to Ozzy Osbourne with a cover of “Paranoid.” The crowd, already whipped into a frenzy, erupted as Dunaway, Smith, and Bruce appeared, guitars slung and drumsticks in hand, for an explosive, no-holds-barred finale. The performance—supported by Depp and Alice’s touring lineup—closed the show in pure rock-and-roll fashion, a moment that will be talked about for generations.

The night before, the original band and producer Bob Ezrin (often called the “sixth member” of the group) gathered at London’s Union Chapel for a sold-out Q&A and livestream event, hosted by Sir Tim Rice, where fans worldwide heard the new album in its entirety for the very first time. It was a reunion of not just musicians, but lifelong friends, as the band and Ezrin reminisced about their early days and shared the stories behind their new songs.

The Revenge of Alice Cooper, released July 25, 2025 via earMUSIC, is more than just a new album—it’s a resurrection of the sound and spirit that made the group icons. Recorded old-school in a Connecticut studio with Ezrin at the helm, the album is packed with the venomous riffs, macabre storytelling, and swaggering attitude that defined Alice Cooper’s heyday. Remarkably, Glen Buxton, the band’s late original guitarist, appears posthumously on “What Happened To You,” thanks to previously unreleased recordings, keeping his spirit alive within the band’s rebirth.

The new record delivers vintage Cooper ferocity from start to finish. “Black Mamba,” the lead single—featuring legendary Doors guitarist Robby Krieger announced the group’s return with a snarl, and tracks like “Wild Ones,” “Up All Night,” and the haunting “See You on the Other Side” prove the band’s creative fire burns as brightly as ever. The album also treats fans to a long lost alternate take of “Return of the Spiders,” unearthed after fifty years and polished by Ezrin for the deluxe edition.

The current The Revenge of Alice Cooper lineup unites the original legends—Alice Cooper (vocals, harmonica), Michael Bruce (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Dennis Dunaway (bass, backing vocals), Neal Smith (drums, backing vocals), and the late Glen Buxton (lead guitar)—with additional muscle from Gyasi Heus and Rick Tedesco on lead guitar. Robby Krieger’s appearance on “Black Mamba” adds an unexpected twist, bridging generations of rock royalty.

The original Alice Cooper Band—Alice, Michael, Dennis, Neal, and Glen—first broke boundaries in the early ‘70s, fusing hard rock, glam, and theatrical shock to produce albums like Love It to Death, Killer, School’s Out, and Billion Dollar Babies. Their iconic hits—“I’m Eighteen,” “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” “Elected,” and “School’s Out”—turned them into superstars, notorious for over-the-top stage shows and a rebellious, horror-infused vision that forever changed the face of rock.

Inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2011, Alice Cooper’s legacy is cemented in the history books, but this reunion proves the story isn’t finished. With The Revenge of Alice Cooper, the band delivers a high-voltage masterclass in rock ‘n’ roll, reminding the world why their music still matters—and why a packed arena in London, half a century after they first shocked the world, still erupts for “School’s Out.”

The Revenge of Alice Cooper is available now on all digital platforms, as well as limited edition colored vinyl, deluxe box sets, and exclusive smart format art prints. The first single “Black Mamba” and its official video are already streaming everywhere. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, this is more than a comeback. It’s a reminder that legends don’t just live on—they come back swinging.
