10 Best Songs With The Word ‘Crazy’ In The Title

Crazy In The Title

Sometimes, when we make these lists with the word in the title, it can be a stretch to find really good ones. But that is not the case with this one. Putting together this list was very difficult because there are just hundreds, if not thousands, of songs that use the word crazy in the title. That word can have many different meanings. Because there were just so many classics, it was a little challenging to fit in deep tracks, since there were so many we wanted to cover. Nonetheless, here are 10 of our favorites.

# 10 – I Go Crazy – Paul Davis

It’s amazing how some songs can be so beautiful and yet so painful to listen to at the same time. This one defines that thought times ten. Paul Davis had a handful of hits in the late 1970s with this one being his strongest. Although, I also really liked “Cool Night.” That was a much happier song.

# 9 – Crazy Love – The Allman Brothers Band

The Allman Brothers Band went through many different periods during their long, wonderful career. The mid to late seventies were not their strongest, but neither their weakest. The Arista years in 80 and 81 are often seen as their weakest period. This was one of the most memorable tracks from the late 70s, released in 1979.

# 8 – Crazy Train – Ozzy Osbourne

We had to have this one on the list, especially as a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne. This track is often viewed as one of the defining moments of his solo career, especially from a commercial perspective.

# 7 – Stone Cold Crazy – Queen

This was the Queen band I loved the most. In fact, this was the first song I ever heard from the band. I heard it on the radio in 1975 and was immediately blown away, asking my friend, ” Did you just hear that? What band is that?  Queen’s first three albums will always be my favs.

# 6 – Crazy Love – Van Morrison

The sound and spirit of this track always bring me back to those simple times of the 1970s, being young and not a worry in the world, except trying to find a girl who would finally say yes to going out with me.

# 5 – Crazy Arms – Linda Ronstadt

I can listen to early Linda Ronstadt music all day long. She has recorded multiple songs with the word Crazy in the title, including the Patsy Cline classic “Crazy” and the jazz standard “Crazy He Calls Me.” Yet, I always really liked this one from her debut solo album.

# 4 – Crazy Mama – Black And Blue

Black And Blue has always been one of my favorite Rolling Stones albums. I also think it’s one of their most overlooked recordings. They were competing against themselves with the amount of legendary material they had already released in the 1960s and 70s.

# 3 – Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy – Sammy Hagar

My favorite Sammy Hagar solo years will always be the early 80s, when he released the albums Standing Hampton, Three Lock Box, and VOA. One of the reasons many of us Sammy Hagar fans were pretty disappointed when he joined Van Halen was that we saw it as the end of his solo career, and we loved those albums.

# 2 – Shine On You Crazy Diamond – Pink Floyd

It’s tough to just call this one a song. I mean, it takes up a big chunk of the Pink Floyd album Wish You Were Here.  It’s such an epic musical masterpiece. Easily one of the top highlights of Pink Floyd’s legendary musical career.

# 1 – Crazy On You – Heart

My favorite band of all time will always be Led Zeppelin. But coming up right behind them is Heart. Released on their debut album, this is just one of those songs that never gets old. Ann Wilson’s vocal performance makes you believe that she has every intention of following through on her promise.
