An Interview With Greg T. Walker (Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackfoot, Two Wolf)

Two Wolf

From the earliest days of Southern rock to today’s hard-hitting new releases, Gregory T. Walker’s musical journey stands as a living bridge between generations of American rock. Known to classic rock fans worldwide as the legendary bassist for Blackfoot—and with a storied stint as a member of Lynyrd Skynyrd—Walker’s thunderous low end has powered some of the genre’s most iconic recordings, including Strikes, Tomcattin’, and Marauder. Now, more than fifty years after helping to shape the sound of the South, Walker is igniting a brand-new fire with his latest band Two Wolf.

Born from the raw spirit of American hard rock and based in Florida, Two Wolf channels Southern grit and relentless energy with a modern edge. Led by the twin-guitar assault and blazing vocals of Lance Lopez and Kris Bell, the band is grounded by Walker’s unmistakable bass and Rusty Valentine’s seismic drumming. Together, they deliver a high-voltage blend of classic Southern roots and hard rock rebellion while forging their own fresh identity.

With the release of their debut album on June 6, 2025, through Cleopatra Records, Two Wolf is poised to capture the hearts of new listeners and loyal fans alike. The record is a thunderstorm of riffs, grooves, and unfiltered emotion—proof that Greg T. Walker remains not just a torchbearer of rock’s storied legacy, but an artist who continues to push boundaries and write new chapters in the ever-evolving story of rock ’n’ roll.
