David Crowder was the lead singer of the David Crowder Band, which was active from 1996 to 2012 before he embarked on his solo career in which he has since just gone by the name Crowder. Since then, Crowder has released four studio albums: Neon Steeple (2014), American Prodigal (2016), I Know a Ghost (2018), and Milk & Honey (2021), with a fifth album, The Exile, expected in 2024.
Crowder’s music blends worship, folk, rock, and electronic elements, creating a unique style often referred to as “folktronica.” He has achieved significant success on the Billboard Christian charts, with multiple singles reaching the top ten, including “Good God Almighty,” which topped the Christian Airplay chart.
