Noah Cyrus came into the world of entertainment from Nashville, Tennessee, but her career was never limited to the fact that she was born into a famous family. Born Noah Lindsey Cyrus on January 8, 2000, she is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus, and the younger sister of Miley Cyrus. She attended Brighton Hall School in Burbank, California, and started working at an early age. At 2 years old, she began acting on her father’s television series Doc, later appeared in Hannah Montana and Hannah Montana: The Movie, and in 2008 voiced the title character in the English version of Ponyo, also singing the film’s English theme song with Frankie Jonas.

Her formal music career began in 2016 when she signed with Barry Weiss’s label Records and also entered a management deal with Maverick. That same year she released her debut single, “Make Me (Cry),” featuring Labrinth, and the song became her first major chart hit, peaking at number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100. She followed it with a steady stream of singles and collaborations that established her as more than a one song breakthrough, including “Stay Together,” “Again” with XXXTentacion, “Chasing Colors” with Marshmello and Ookay, “Slow” with Matoma, and “All Falls Down” with Alan Walker. In 2017, she also opened for Katy Perry on the Witness: The Tour, an important early step in building a larger audience.

By 2018, Cyrus had reached the point where a larger body of work was taking shape. Her first extended play, Good Cry, was released on September 21, 2018, and it featured songs such as “Mad at You” with Gallant and “Punches” with LP. She also launched her first headlining run, The Good Cry Tour, that same year. What began to stand out during this period was the emotional directness in her material, something that became a recurring part of her music as she moved deeper into songwriting about sadness, loneliness, and personal instability.

The next phase of her career pushed that writing style even further. In 2019 she released “July,” which became one of the most important songs of her catalog and later earned a BMI Pop Award. In 2020 she followed with her second extended play, The End of Everything, and in 2021 released People Don’t Change, a joint EP with PJ Harding that grew out of their songwriting partnership. Those releases showed a clear expansion in depth and tone, and they also helped build the momentum that led to one of the biggest recognitions of her career, a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.

Her first full length album, The Hardest Part, arrived on September 16, 2022, after an earlier announced release date was delayed. The album was introduced by singles including “I Burned LA Down,” “Mr. Percocet,” “Ready To Go,” and “Every Beginning Ends” with Benjamin Gibbard. After the album came out, she added more material tied to the project, including “I Just Want A Lover,” a remix of “Noah (Stand Still)” with Billy Ray Cyrus, and an acoustic version of “Unfinished.” She supported the release with The Hardest Part Tour, which began on October 4, 2022. As of the discography listed on the page you provided, Cyrus has released 2 studio albums and 3 extended plays, with the second full length album, I Want My Loved Ones to Go with Me, arriving on July 11, 2025. That album featured guest appearances from Fleet Foxes, Ella Langley, Bill Callahan, and Blake Shelton, and the page notes that reviews were very positive.

The list of honors attached to her career reflects both commercial impact and industry attention. In addition to the Grammy nomination for Best New Artist, she earned nominations from the Radio Disney Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Europe Music Awards, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, CMT Music Awards, LivexLive’s The Lockdown Awards, and the People’s Choice Country Awards. She also won PETA’s Annual Libby Award for Best PETA2 Ad and received a BMI Pop Award for “July.” Her most recognizable hit single remains “Make Me (Cry),” while “July,” “All Falls Down,” and later collaborations such as “My Fault” with Shaboozey extended her visibility across both pop and country-connected audiences.

Outside of music, Cyrus has been active in causes that were specific and visible, not vague. In 2013, she used her 13th birthday to raise money to ban horse-drawn carriages in New York City. She also worked with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, first in a campaign against animal dissection in high school science classes and later in support of a boycott of SeaWorld. In 2019, after releasing “Lonely,” she teamed with the Crystal Campaign on The Lonely Collection to benefit The Jed Foundation, and later sold some of her old clothes on Depop, donating the proceeds to the same organization. That combination of early acting work, 2 studio albums, 3 EPs, notable singles, a Grammy nomination, and visible activism helps explain why Noah Cyrus has built a loyal audience. The connection has come not only from her family name, but from a career built on vulnerability, consistency, and a willingness to tie her music to real emotional stakes.
