This is such a cool band. They have a pretty big fan base. Saliva was established in 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee. The band quickly gained a reputation for an energetic blend of nu-metal, rock, and rap metal, which helped build their fan base. Saliva was formed in 1996 in Memphis, Tennessee, and quickly became known for their fusion of rock, nu-metal, and rap metal elements. The band achieved commercial success with their 2001 album Every Six Seconds, which went double-platinum in the United States. Saliva’s music often features in various multimedia, such as video games, movies, and TV shows, which helped them reach a wider audience. The band has released twelve studio albums, including their latest, Breaking Through, released in 2026, and has experienced various lineup changes throughout its existence. Their most popular tracks, such as “Click Click Boom” and “Always,” have become staples on rock radio stations. Despite the departure of original lead vocalist Josey Scott in 2011 and the death of founding guitarist Wayne Swinny in 2023, Saliva has continued to tour and produce new music with current members, maintaining a presence in the rock music scene.

Josey Scott

Josey Scott was the lead vocalist and a founding member of Saliva. He was instrumental in the band’s rise to fame and remained with the band from 1996 until his departure in 2011. Scott performed on all of Saliva’s albums up to and including Under Your Skin (2011). His distinctive voice and charisma helped define the band’s sound and contributed significantly to their commercial success. After leaving Saliva, Scott pursued a solo career and focused on Christian music.

Chris D’Abaldo

Chris D’Abaldo served as the rhythm guitarist for Saliva from the band’s formation in 1996 until he left in 2005. He played on the band’s major label debut, Every Six Seconds, and continued through Survival of the Sickest (2004). D’Abaldo was involved in the writing process for many of Saliva’s early hits. After his departure, he ventured into other music projects but remained less visible in the music scene.

Wayne Swinny

Wayne Swinny was with Saliva from its inception in 1996 until his death on March 22, 2023, serving as the band’s lead guitarist and backing vocalist. His guitar work was a key element of Saliva’s musical identity, helping to craft the band’s aggressive and melodic style. Swinny was the last remaining original member of Saliva at the time of his death. His final recordings with the band appeared on Revelation, released in 2023.

Todd Poole

Todd Poole was Saliva’s original drummer and backing vocalist during the band’s early years. He was part of the original 1996 lineup and played on Saliva’s self-titled independent debut album, released in 1997. Poole left the band before Saliva’s major-label breakthrough with Every Six Seconds.

Paul Crosby

Paul Crosby joined Saliva as the drummer in 2000, just before the band achieved widespread fame. He played on their breakthrough album Every Six Seconds and remained an important part of the band’s rhythm section for many years. Crosby left the band in 2018, returned in 2019, and departed again in 2022. Dave Novotny

Dave Novotny was the bassist for Saliva from 1996 until he left in 2015. He played on all of Saliva’s albums from their self-titled debut through Rise Up (2014). Bobby Amaru

Bobby Amaru joined Saliva in 2012 as the lead vocalist, replacing Josey Scott. He made his debut on the album In It to Win It (2013). Amaru brought a new energy to the band, helping to sustain their relevance in the rock scene with subsequent albums like Love, Lies & Therapy (2016), 10 Lives (2018), Revelation (2023), and Breaking Through (2026). Besides his role in Saliva, Amaru is known for his involvement in other musical projects and as a solo artist.

Jonathan Montoya

Jonathan Montoya joined Saliva as a guitarist following Chris D’Abaldo’s departure in 2005 and made his studio debut with the band on Blood Stained Love Story (2007). He also contributed to Cinco Diablo (2008). Montoya left the band in 2010 and later returned for another period with Saliva before Dave Novotny’s departure in 2015. Prior to Saliva, Montoya was known for his work with the band Full Devil Jacket.

Brad Stewart

Brad Stewart joined Saliva as the bassist after the departure of Dave Novotny in 2015. He played on the album Love, Lies & Therapy (2016) and has continued as Saliva’s bassist during the band’s current era. Prior to joining Saliva, Stewart was notably part of the band Shinedown, contributing to their early success and style.

Damien Starkey

Damien Starkey performed on bass and backing vocals with Saliva during the 2018–2019 period. His time with the band came during a transitional period in the rhythm section before Brad Stewart returned to the lineup.

Tosha Jones

Tosha Jones performed on drums with Saliva during the 2018–2019 period. She was part of the band’s live lineup during a period when longtime drummer Paul Crosby was away from the group.

Sammi Jo Bishop

Sammi Jo Bishop joined Saliva as the band’s drummer in 2022 following Paul Crosby’s departure. She remains part of Saliva’s current lineup and has performed with the band during its post-Wayne Swinny era.

Sebastian LaBar

Josh Kulack

Josh Kulack first performed with Saliva as a touring guitarist before becoming part of the band’s current lineup. He contributes guitar and backing vocals and has helped carry Saliva’s guitar-driven sound forward following the death of Wayne Swinny.
