Our Top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list looks back at the songs of one of the most successful country music duos of all time. The great pairing of former county music solo artists Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn began in the early 1990s when the two joined forces to create a sound that would prove incredibly successful. How successful you ask? Well let me tell you about it. Over the past 30 years Brooks and Dunn have a released over 50 singles with 20 of them going straight to number one on the US Billboard Country Music charts. Their music blends the genres of traditional country along with good old honky-tonk and straight ahead rock and roll helping create a wide audience of music fans that love their music.

Brooks & Dunn have also done extremely well on the awards shows where they have celebrated two Grammy Award wins along with twenty six Academy of Country Music awards and seventeen Country Music Association awards. # 10 – Brand New Man

We open up our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list with Brooks & Dunn’ s rip-roaring debut single entitled “Brand New Man.” The song was released on the album also entitled Brand New Man. It was the first single released from the album and the groups first number one single US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts. Amazingly, the group started out with four straight number one singles. The song also hit number one on the Canadian Country Music Charts. The song was composed by Kix Brooks, Don Cook and Ronnie Dunn.

 

# 9 – My Maria

Well, we had to include this great cover. Continuing with our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list we take a listen to the classic 70s song entitled “My Maria.”  The song was released on the album entitled Borderline. The album was released in 1996. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts peaking at number one. The song also was a number one hit on the Canadian Country Music Charts. The song would break into the US Billboard Country Airplay Charts reaching number seventy nine. “My Maria,” was composed by B. W. Stevenson and Daniel Moore. B. W. Stevenson had a top 10 hit with the song in 1973. This one brings back memories.

# 8 – Rock My World (Little Country Girl)

In the number eight spot on our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list we present the song entitled “Rock My World (Little Country Girl).” The guitar riff on this one sounds very much like the Creedence Clearwater Revival song “Green River.” The song was released on the album entitled Hard Workin’ Man. The album was released in 1991. It was the fourth single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts peaking at number two. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100  just creeping in at number ninety seven. The song also was a hit on the Canadian Country Music Charts rising all the way to number one. The song was composed by Bill LaBounty and Steve O’Brien.

# 7 – Honky Tonk Stomp

In the number seven position on our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list is the song entitled Honky Tonk Stomp.” The song also featured ZZ Tops legendary guitarist and singer Billy Gibbons. It’s funny but the melody on the verse sounds a lot like Queen’s classic tune “Stone Cold Crazy.” The song was released on the album entitled #1s… and Then Some. The album was released in 2009. It was the second single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts peaking at number sixteen. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 high up at number ninety eight. The song also was a hit on the Canadian Country Music Charts rising all the way to number eight. The song was composed by Ronnie Dunn, Terry McBride and Bobby Pinson.

# 6 – Building Bridges

Landing in the number six spot on our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list we present the song “Building Bridges.” The song also featured Sheryl Crow and Vince Gill. The song was released on the album entitled The album was released in 2005.  It was the third single released from the album. # 2 – Boot Scootin’ Boogie

Just of the top spot on our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list we celebrate the energetic honky tonk style song entitled “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.” The song was released on the album entitled Brand New Man. The album was released in 1991. It was the fourth single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts peaking at number one making it the fourth straight number one hit on the group’s debut album.WOW!  The song was also Brooks & Dunn’s first entry into the US Billboard Hot 100 where it peaked at number fifty. The jubilant song also was a number one hit on the Canadian Country Music Charts. The song was composed by Don Cook and Scott Hendricks.

# 1 – Ain’t Nothing ’bout You

We close out our top 10 Brooks & Dunn songs list with one of our favorite songs of all time entitled “Ain’t Nothing ’bout You.” This one is just so well written. It’s a powerful statement for real love sung just so perfectly. It’s heavey, it’s genuine, its real and it rocks hard. The song was released on the album entitled Steers & Stripes. The album was released in 2001. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts peaking at number one. The song also ended the year as the number one country song of 2001 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs Charts. The song crossed over big time onto the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number twenty five. The song was composed by Tom Shapiro and Rivers Rutherford.
