This Top 10 Jon Pardi Songs list presents the best Jon Pardi songs including “Dirt on My Boots,” “Head Over Boots” “Night Shift” and many more. Neotraditional country music artist Jon Pardi was born in 1985 in Dixon, California, spending his childhood there until he graduated from high school in 2003. At eighteen years of age, Pardi packed his bags and headed east to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a career in music. Since he was twelve years old he was already learning how to write songs so it seemed only fitting to put that experience to work in the entertainment industry as its next big country star. Nine years later, he released his first single, “Missin’ You Crazy,” Nearly two years after that, his debut album, Write You a Song, was released as the first of his three studio albums on January fourteenth.

Since then, Pardi has recorded and released two additional studio albums, 2016’s California Sunrise and 2019’s Heartache Medication. The first of these two became certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) while the second was certified gold. Pardi also has two extended plays (EPs) to his credit with 2015’s The B-Sides, 2011–2014, and 2020’s Rancho Fiesta Sessions. All five of these releases were produced by Capitol Nashville, a recording label he has been with since 2010.

Jon Pardi has come a long way since he started with Capitol Nashville, first as an opening act for Dierks Bentley and Alan Jackson, before becoming a headliner himself as of 2014. In 2017, he was recognized by the Country Music Association as New Artist of the Year and was the Academy of Country Music Awards’ New Male Vocalist of the Year.

Blouses vs. Baseball Hats

In addition to an impressive discography, Pari has also appeared as a guest in a variety of television programs such as The Bachelorette in 2014, 2019’s American Idol, and even as a contestant in a celebrity Family Feud in 2019. In the famous game show’s episode, Pardi teamed up with Bobby Bones, Amy Lunchbox, and Lauren Alaina. When the team lost due to an answer result Pardi didn’t agree with, it became a source of comedy and controversy at the same time. What caused the team to lose was an answer Bobby Bones gave as a favorite clothing item starting with the letter “B” that is worn above the waist.

The answer given was “baseball hat” but this wasn’t considered popular enough to appear on the game’s answer board. The correct response was “blouse” which was perplexing enough for Pardi to amusingly question it, observing the people in his presence wore more baseball hats than they did blouses. Perhaps this head-scratching experience for Pardi may give some interesting recording material that would be sure to be a future fan favorite.

Top 10 Jon Pardi Songs

#10 – Beer Can’t Fix (featuring Thomas Rhett)

As a duet, “Beer Can’t Fix” was performed by the combined talent of Jon Pardi and Thomas Rhett. Credited to Rhett’s album, Center Point Road, this 2020 single became a number one hit on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart and on the RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart. On the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, it peaked at number six and was a number thirty-six hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. Among both nations, “Beer Can’t Fix” also became certified platinum, clearly demonstrating this song made it an easy fan favorite. According to Pardi and Thomas Rhett, there’s nothing a “Beer Can’t Fix” when it comes to dealing with unpleasant issues that render the need of some cheer up.

#9 – What I Can’t Put Down

“What I Can’t Put Down” became a certified gold hit by the RIAA after it was released as a single in 2014. Jon Pardi’s debut album, Write You a Song, was the third of four singles released from it, demonstrating this country artist was not simply a one-hit-wonder. This would be someone whose star would shine brightly for quite some time yet. “What I Can’t Put Down” became one of Pardi’s signature tracks, not just from the album, but as a fan favorite as they have a tough time themselves putting it down.

It has since become a country music festival favorite, as well as winning over a few rock fans as Pardi shares a list of vices that seem too hard to just put down and walk away from. On the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, “What I Can’t Put Down” peaked as high as number thirty-three and was a number thirty-one hit on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart. The opening guitar riffs could have easily strayed a listener into thinking they’re about to listen to a rock song before Pardi delivers his unique style that shows he knows how to mix both worlds and make it work.

#8 – What I’ve Been Drinkin’

2014’s “What I’ve Been Drinkin'” was the fourth and final single released from Jon Pardi’s debut album, Write You a Song, and served as a slower number compared to the three previous hit singles that were released. It demonstrated there was more to Pardi than popping out anthem-like country-rock material, earning him an even broader fan base that appreciated this uniquely gifted star’s ability to switch it up. “What I’ve Been Drinkin'” has become the modern-day’s answer to acoustic-favoring honky tonk music and does so with a brand of genius that has marked Pardi as more than a star performer. Despite only charting as high as number thirty-six on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and at number thirty-eight on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart, “What I’ve Been Drinkin'” became a certified gold hit by the RIAA once it reached the 500,000 copies sold mark.

#7 – Up All Night

In 2013, “Up All Night” served as the second single released for Jon Pardi and was his first top ten hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart at number ten. It was also his first crossover hit as it peaked as high as number fifty-six on the US Billboard Hot 100. This RIAA-certified platinum track officially put Pardi on the map as a world-class country star, thanks to what critics cite as a refreshingly unique vocal approach that easily makes “Up All Night” a favorite that can be played many times over without getting bored.

The mix of traditional country music with modern sounds served as Pardi’s trademark style that has rightfully earned him a place in the hearts of country music fans who are in agreement with the critics who give him, this song, and the rest of his recordings favor. Pardi’s lyrical invite to stay “Up All Night” as part of a romantic interlude likely witnessed several fans more than willing to take him up on his offer as they indulge in this toe-tapping, heel-kicking classic.

#6 – Night Shift

2018’s “Night Shift” was a single released from the album, California Sunrise, as its fifth hit to make an impressive appearance on the US Billboard Country Songs chart when it peaked at number eight and was a number five hit on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart. It also became the fifth occasion Jon Pardi would see one of his songs achieve platinum certification from the RIAA. In Canada, “Night Shift” was popular enough to reach number fourteen on its RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart, and this was also a number fifty-one hit on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Serving as an ode to workers who are scheduled to work overnight while the majority of the population sleeps, “Night Shift” was accompanied by a music video that featured Pardi traveling in a big rig before joining his bandmates on the road. What makes Jon Pardi’s music so appealing is how he relates to the men and women of the working class who struggle to make ends meet. “Night Shift” is no exception as it beautifully played out why men and women work as hard as they do, all to spend quality time with their loved ones as they see fit.

#5 – Heartache Medication

The title track from Jon Pardi’s album, Heartache Medication, became a number one hit on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart and the RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart after its 2019 release. It was the first of three songs released from it that would make a chart appearance and was the most successful as it also peaked at number five on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and at number forty-two on the US Billboard Hot 100. Performed as a man dealing with heartbreak who seeks to lessen its impact by consuming some alcohol as a means of spiritual medication.

This fan-favorite became a desirable dance number that is often played at clubs that cater to the country music genre. When it starts with the fiddling invite before leading into a head-bobbing, toe-tapping number that seems to serve as country music’s answer to medicating someone’s heartache.

#4 – Ain’t Always the Cowboy

“Ain’t Always the Cowboy” was the fourth number one hit on the RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart for Jon Pardi after it was released as a single in 2020. On the US Billboard Country Airplay chart, it peaked as high as number three and it was a number five hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. As a crossover hit, “Ain’t Always the Cowboy” peaked on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number fifty-five.

It has since become an RIAA-certified platinum seller and continues as a fiddle favorite among fans. This western-style tale revolved around a woman’s reluctance to commit to a relationship with a cowboy who hopes she would reconsider her position. This mid-tempo musical work of art saw country music at its best, as well as Pardi, as a bluesy number dealing with relationship issues that aren’t always as cut and dry as one hopes it to be.

#3 – Heartache on the Dance Floor

In Canada, “Heartache on the Dance Floor” became Jon Pardi’s second number one hit on its RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart. It was a number three hit on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart and a number five hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. It has also since become a double-platinum seller with the RIAA since its 2017 release as the third single from the album, California Sunrise. Singing as a party goer, Pardi met with a beautiful woman who won over his heart as the two met up on the dance floor. This impressionable meet-up caused the narrator to return to the same location in hopes to see her again but to no avail, giving cause to sing about it in the form of a country song. Whether or not it won over that girl in the story, it was appealing enough to win over scores of fans who found this song a personal favorite.

#2 – Head Over Boots

“Head Over Boots” became the first number one hit single for Jon Pardi as it topped the US Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2015. It became a number-four hit on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and was a number two favorite on the RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart. “Head Over Boots” also became Pari’s best-selling single as it earned triple platinum with the RIAA and was also certified platinum with Music Canada. It was the first of five hit singles from Pari’s album, California Sunrise.

The inspiration behind “Head Over Boots” came to him after observing different couples on the dance floor, wanting to bring forth content that would spark fans to kick up their heels as they get into the music. Turns out this plan paid off as this has become one of Jon Pardi’s signature songs, not to mention a huge fan favorite in the genre of country music. It also earned a number fifty-one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100, making “Head Over Boots” the second time Pardi would realize a crossover hit. It, however, was by no means his last as most of his hit singles since this one has appeared on the Hot 100 like a regular coffee drinker showing up at their favorite hangout.

#1 – Dirt on My Boots

“Dirt on My Boots” was the hit single that saw a series of nominations for Jon Pardi between the 2017 editions of the Academy of Country Music Awards and the Country Music Association Awards. It played an instrumental role in the two wins Pardi earned as a new artist in both awards ceremonies, as well as earning a nomination for the CMT Music Award as its Breakthrough Video of The Year. Although that particular win went to Lauren Alaina’s “Road Less Traveled,” the triple certification “Dirt on My Boots” received from the RIAA, plus the gold certification from Canada, definitely served as a sign of fan favoring success.

For Jon Pardi, “Dirt on My Boots” became one of his signature songs and is a major standout favorite as it beautifully blended the worlds of country music and hip-hop together in a manner that made it more than simply a number one favorite on the US Billboard Country Airplay chart and the RPM Canadian Country Tracks chart. On the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, it peaked at number two and on the US Billboard Hot 100, “Dirt on My Boots” became Pardi’s best-charted hit at number thirty-seven. This song simply isn’t a fan favorite but has more than enough dirt on it to become a cult classic. It, along with its associative album, California Sunrise, has placed Jon Pardi in the books as one of the most elite country music stars of the modern era.
