Top 10 Khalid Songs

#10 – Ocean (featuring Martin Garrix)

Released in 2018 as a non-album single, “Ocean” was a globally chart-hitting success for Khalid and Martin Garrix. On the US Billboard 100, it ranked as high as number seventy-eight. However, on the US Billboard Hot R&B Songs chart, it peaked at number five. As a commercial success, enough copies of the hit single were sold for it to become certified Platinum twice over with Australia’s ARIA. Platinum was also achieved with USA’s RIAA. Among the official music associations of Music Canada, UK’s BPI, and Denmark’s IFPI, the song became certified Gold. Khalid’s soulful performance is credited for adding an excellent level of rhythm and blues to Garrix’s rich and soft playout that seemed to perfectly dance alongside the song’s vocals.

#9 – Beautiful People (featuring Ed Sheeran)

In 2019, “Beautiful People” charted on the US Billboard Hot 100 at number thirteen. On the UK Singles Chart, it peaked at number one. “Beautiful People,” also became a multi-Platinum certified single at a global level, namely within most of the nations just mentioned. The single belongs to Ed Sheeran’s fourth studio album, No. 6 Collaborations Project, which was released on July 12, 2019. For Khalid, his silky addition to Ed Sheeran’s smooth vocals was highly acclaimed to make the somber pop song one of the strongest and most likable hits that dominated the music charts in 2019.

#8 – Better

“Better” is among Khalid’s highly charted singles he has released as a solo artist. In Australia, the single was certified Platinum nine times. Triple Platinum was realized with UK’s BPI and New Zealand’s RMNZ. The nations of Denmark and Sweden also certified the single as Platinum. As successful as the single was, it came face to face with a copyright-related lawsuit that was filed by the band, American XO, who felt the guitar’s hazy riff was a knock off from their 2015 song, Loveless. So far, a verdict hasn’t been decided yet, but the March 2021 lawsuit has since made headline news within the music industry that has so far left the fans to voice their opinion on the matter.

#6 – Love Lies (featuring Normani)

Silence also appeared on the US Billboard Hot 100 as high as number thirty. Globally, the song charted in the top twenty of most of the official music charts, as it peaked as high as number three in New Zealand and the UK, as well as number five in Australia and Sweden.

Khalid’s performance of the song heightened the emotional impact of a romance that seemed to move a bit too fast for the narrator’s liking. The synth-heavy song featured the musical talent of Disclosure. Talk reached the top of the music charts of US Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs and its Mainstream Top 40.

It also charted as high as number three on the US Billboard Hot 100. Globally, the internationally multi-Platinum single charted within the top ten among the nations of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Malaysia, and the UK.
