Top 10 Post Malone Songs

Post Malone Songs

Our top 10 Post Malone songs list looks at the body of work of an American artist famed for his erratic yet transcendent vocal styles. His pensive songwriting skills and blending of hip-hop, trap, pop, and R&B music has drawn many to his art. Born in 1995, Post Malone was introduced to multiple genres of music by his father, Rich Post, who was once a DJ. Teenage Post Malone was ready to become a rock star, having him practice the guitar.

After a long time polishing his skills, Post Malone was ready to showcase his musical skills to the world. At fifteen, he auditioned for the metalcore band Crown the Empire. His guitar strings broke when he was in the audition room. Sadly, this ended up with Post Malone being rejected.

While still at high school, Post Malone used the Audacity audio editor to make his first mixtape. His classmates smelt of a star in the making, having them vote him “Most Likely to Become Famous,” which he achieved. Years later, Post Malone met Sauce Lord Rich and FKi 1st. The two helped him produce his debut single “White Iverson,” a hit that flew Post Malone straight to fame.

Within a month, “White Iverson” had already hit the one million views mark. Record labels rushed to try to sign a deal with this new kid in the block who seemed whose career was burgeoning and promising. Eventually, Post Malone reached an agreement with Republic Records. This allowed him to work with multiple reputable artists, including Young Thug, 50 Cent, and Kanye West. Post Malone was an opening act for Justin Bieber’s Purpose World Tour.

Later in 2016, Post Malone released a mixtape under the title August 26th. While some felt that he was still inclined to the rock, country, and pop direction, Post Malone revealed that the album in the store was hip-hop. After a delayed release, his debut album Stoney (2016), was out. On the album, he featured guest artists including Quavo, Justin Bieber, and Kehlani. Post Malone had several songs on the album rise to Billboard Hot 100.

Post Malone later released his sophomore studio album Beerbongs &Bentleys (2018). The album featured Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage, Swae Lee, YG, Ty Dolla Sign, and G Eazy as guest artists. Beerbongs & Bentleys (2018) is the home to Post Malone’s first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, “Rockstar.” The album was also home to his third song on the top ten Billboard Hot 100, “Psycho.” Post Malone collaborated with Ty Dolla Sign on the track, which debuted at number two on the Billboard Hot 100.

Within no time, Post Malone had become one of the biggest names in the hip-hop scene. His debut album recorded the longest stay streak on the Billboard Top R&B and Hip-Hop Albums chart. This was after it clocked seventy-seven weeks on the chart, outperforming Michael Jackson’s Thriller (1983), breaking the thirty-four-year-old record.

Post Malone would bag a deal to release the soundtrack of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The result was one of his best songs, “Sunflower,” in which he collaborated with Swae Lee. Following a successful start of his career, Post Malone was nominated for four awards in the 2019 Grammy Awards ceremony. During the ceremony, he was one of the performers, gracing the stage alongside Red Hot Chili Peppers. However, he won no award from his four nominations.

Post Malone seemed unstoppable with the release of his third studio album Hollywood’s Bleeding (2019). The album rose to the peak of the UK Albums Chart and Billboard 200. It also topped the charts in other nations, including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Norway and New Zealand. Some of the reputable songs from the album include “Wow,” “Take What You Want,” “Enemies,” and “Circles.”

However, his fame has not come without criticism. Post Malone has often been termed as a culture vulture. Nevertheless, he has stood against the idea of establishing himself as a multi-genre artist. His versatility in the music scene will surely propel him to greater feats and a lengthy stay on the top of the game. Here we give you the ten best Post Malone songs.
