Billie Eilish reshaped modern pop through a catalog built on hushed vocals, unsettling electronic textures, intimate songwriting, orchestral ballads, alternative pop, explosive rock dynamics, and a remarkably close creative partnership with her brother Finneas. This complete A-to-Z guide gathers her studio songs, EP tracks, soundtrack recordings, collaborations, remixes, early releases, covers, and officially issued music from every stage of her career.

Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell was born in Los Angeles on December 18, 2001, and grew up in a household centered on music, performance, writing, and visual art. Homeschooled alongside her brother Finneas O’Connell, she began writing songs at a young age while developing a vocal style that could move from an intimate whisper to a forceful, dramatic release.
Her breakthrough began with “Ocean Eyes,” a song Finneas had originally written for his band before recognizing how naturally it suited his sister’s voice. The siblings recorded the song at home and uploaded it to SoundCloud in 2015. Its rapid online spread led to a commercial release in 2016 and a recording agreement with Darkroom and Interscope Records.
Eilish’s debut EP, dont smile at me, arrived in 2017 and introduced a sound that blended alternative pop, electronic production, dark humor, vulnerability, and theatrical storytelling. Songs including “Bellyache,” “Copycat,” “Idontwannabeyouanymore,” and “Ocean Eyes” helped establish her as an artist whose music and visual identity felt unusually complete from the beginning.
Her first studio album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, was released in 2019. Recorded with Finneas in their family home, the album included “Bad Guy,” “Bury a Friend,” “When the Party’s Over,” “You Should See Me in a Crown,” and “Wish You Were Gay.” Its commercial and critical success culminated at the 2020 Grammy Awards, where Eilish became the youngest artist to sweep Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist in the same ceremony.
Eilish and Finneas next wrote “No Time to Die” for the James Bond film of the same name. The song earned the siblings an Academy Award for Best Original Song. Her second album, Happier Than Ever, followed in 2021, pairing understated jazz, folk, electronic pop, and acoustic textures with the distorted catharsis of its title track.
In 2023, Eilish recorded “What Was I Made For?” for Barbie. The reflective ballad earned her a second Academy Award for Best Original Song and further demonstrated how effectively her quietest performances could carry enormous emotional weight.
Her third studio album, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT, arrived in 2024 as a ten-song work designed to flow continuously from beginning to end. “Birds of a Feather,” “Chihiro,” “Lunch,” “Wildflower,” “The Greatest,” and “L’Amour de Ma Vie” expanded her sound through layered vocals, string arrangements, dance production, bass-heavy transitions, and songs that shifted shape while unfolding.
Eilish also appeared with Charli xcx on “Guess” and released the extended version of “L’Amour de Ma Vie.” In 2026, “Wildflower” won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year, bringing Eilish’s career total to ten Grammy wins from thirty-four nominations.
Her latest chapter included the April 2026 single “INTRO (HIT ME HARD AND SOFT TOUR)” and HIT ME HARD AND SOFT: THE TOUR (LIVE). The live album accompanied a concert film directed by Eilish and James Cameron, documenting the scale and visual ambition of the world tour built around her third album.
Beyond recording, Eilish has used her tours, merchandise, and public platform to promote environmental responsibility, plant-based food, mental-health awareness, and greater honesty around body image. Her ability to combine personal writing with carefully constructed sound and imagery has made her one of the defining artists of her generation.
