Do you remember the first time you heard 10cc? Chances are it was when their 1975 song “I’m Not In Love” became a worldwide hit.  If you’re wondering who the musicians behind that stunning song were, read on as we’re about to present a history of all 10cc band members. 10cc was formed in Stockport, England, in 1972. The band’s core lineup originally consisted of four members: Graham Gouldman, Eric Stewart, Kevin Godley, and Lol Creme. They released several hit albums and singles, including “I’m Not in Love” and “The Things We Do for Love.” 10cc experienced several lineup changes and periods of inactivity, releasing more than a dozen studio albums. The band achieved significant commercial success, with multiple top-ten hits in the UK and international chart success. They have been nominated for and received various music awards throughout their career.

Graham Gouldman

Graham Gouldman is a founding member of 10cc, joining the band in 1972. He has been the most consistent member, remaining with the group throughout its existence. Gouldman played bass and guitar and contributed vocals. He was a primary songwriter for the band, co-writing many of their hits, including “I’m Not in Love” and “The Things We Do for Love.” Gouldman played on every 10cc album, contributing significantly to their distinctive sound. Outside of 10cc, Gouldman has had a successful career as a songwriter, penning hits for artists like The Yardbirds (“For Your Love”) and Herman’s Hermits (“No Milk Today”). He has also released solo albums and continues to perform with 10cc.

Eric Stewart

Eric Stewart, another founding member, joined 10cc in 1972 and was with the band until 1995. Stewart played guitar, keyboards, and provided vocals. He was a key songwriter and producer for the band, co-writing many of their hits alongside Gouldman. Stewart contributed significantly to the band’s sound on albums like Sheet Music, The Original Soundtrack, and Deceptive Bends. Kevin Godley

Kevin Godley was a founding member of 10cc, joining the band in 1972 and leaving in 1976. Godley was the band’s drummer and provided vocals. Godley left the band to pursue a career in music video production with his bandmate Lol Creme. Together, they became pioneers in the field, directing iconic music videos for artists like The Police and Duran Duran. Godley also released solo music and continued his creative work in various multimedia projects.

Lol Creme

Lol Creme, a founding member, was part of 10cc from 1972 to 1976. He played guitar and keyboards and provided vocals. Creme was known for his inventive guitar work and was a significant contributor to the band’s early success. He played on albums such as 10cc and Sheet Music. After leaving 10cc, Creme teamed up with Kevin Godley to form Godley & Creme, where they focused on music production and music video direction. Rick Fenn

Rick Fenn joined 10cc in 1976 and has been a long-term member, playing guitar and providing vocals. He contributed to albums like Bloody Tourists, Look Hear?, and Ten Out of 10. Fenn’s guitar work added a new dimension to the band’s sound during their later years. Outside of 10cc, Fenn has worked with artists like Mike Oldfield and Rick Wakeman. Paul Burgess

Paul Burgess has been associated with 10cc since 1973 as a touring drummer and became a full-time member in 1976. He has played on several albums, including Deceptive Bends, Bloody Tourists, and Windows in the Jungle. Burgess’s drumming skills have been integral to the band’s live performances and studio recordings. In addition to his work with 10cc, Burgess has performed with artists like Jethro Tull and Camel, highlighting his expertise as a drummer.

Stuart Tosh

Stuart Tosh joined 10cc in 1976, playing drums and providing vocals until 1983. He contributed to albums such as Deceptive Bends, Bloody Tourists, and Ten Out of 10. Tosh’s drumming and vocal harmonies were important elements of the band’s sound during this period. Before joining 10cc, Tosh was a member of the band Pilot. Duncan Mackay

Duncan Mackay was a keyboardist for 10cc from 1977 to 1981. He played on albums like Bloody Tourists and Look Hear?. Mackay’s keyboard skills added a rich texture to the band’s music. Outside of 10cc, Mackay has worked with numerous artists, including Kate Bush and Alan Parsons, and has released solo albums showcasing his talent as a keyboardist and composer.

Tony O’Malley

Tony O’Malley joined 10cc as a keyboardist and vocalist from 1977 to 1978. He played on the live album Live and Let Live. He is also known for his work with the band Kokomo and has had a successful solo career, releasing several albums.

Andrew Gold

Andrew Gold was a member of 10cc from 1980 to 1981, playing guitar, keyboards, and providing vocals. He contributed to the album Ten Out of 10. Gary Wallis

Mick Wilson

Mike Stevens

Iain Hornal
