Dan Reynolds
Dan Reynolds is the charismatic lead vocalist of Imagine Dragons and one of its founding members. Since the band’s inception in 2008, Reynolds has been a driving force behind its creative direction and distinctive sound. His powerful voice and dynamic stage presence have become synonymous with the IImagine Dragons experience. Reynolds has contributed to all of the band’s albums, including “Night Visions,” “Smoke + Mirrors,” “Evolve,” “Origins,” and “Mercury – Acts 1 & 2.” Beyond his work with the band, Reynolds has been open about his struggles with depression and ankylosing spondylitis, using his platform to advocate for mental health awareness and LGBTQ+ rights, notably through the LoveLoud Festival he founded.
Wayne Sermon
Guitarist Wayne Sermon joined Imagine Dragons shortly after its formation, bringing with him a background from the Berklee College of Music. His intricate guitar work and backing vocals have been integral to the band’s sound from the beginning. Sermon’s versatility on the guitar has allowed the band to explore a wide range of musical styles across their discography. He has played on all of the band’s major releases, contributing not only musically but also in the songwriting process. Outside of Imagine Dragons, Sermon has kept a relatively low profile, focusing primarily on his work with the band.
Ben McKee
Ben McKee, the bassist for Imagine Dragons, also joined the band early on, completing the rhythm section alongside drummer Daniel Platzman. A fellow alumnus of the Berklee College of Music with Wayne Sermon, McKee’s bass lines are a fundamental aspect of the band’s rhythmically driven sound. He has played on all the band’s albums, providing both bass guitar and backing vocals. McKee’s musicianship extends beyond the bass, as he occasionally contributes keyboards and other instruments to the band’s recordings.
Daniel Platzman
Daniel Platzman was the last to join the original lineup of Imagine Dragons, taking on the role of drummer. His background in film scoring from Berklee College of Music has added a cinematic quality to the band’s music, evident in their expansive soundscapes and dramatic live performances. Platzman has been featured on all the band’s major albums, contributing not only percussive elements but also backing vocals, viola, and other instruments, showcasing his diverse musical talents.
Former Members
Andrew Tolman
Andrew Tolman was one of the original members of Imagine Dragons, serving as the drummer from 2008 until his departure in 2011. Tolman’s drumming can be heard on the band’s early EPs, which helped establish their sound and gain initial recognition. His decision to leave the band, along with his then-girlfriend and fellow band member Brittany Tolman, was due to personal reasons. After leaving Imagine Dragons, Tolman continued his musical career but maintained a lower profile compared to his former bandmates.
Brittany Tolman
Brittany Tolman played keyboards and provided backing vocals for Imagine Dragons during her tenure with the band from 2009 to 2011. Her contributions are present on the band’s early EPs, where her backing vocals and keyboard playing added depth and texture to their sound. Like Andrew Tolman, she left the band to pursue other interests and has since focused on family and other musical endeavors.

Andrew Beck
Andrew Colin Beck, born on May 23, 1986, is a multifaceted American artist known for his contributions to both the music and art worlds. He was an early member of the now globally recognized rock band Imagine Dragons. Following his tenure with Imagine Dragons, Beck continued his musical journey with the Mellons.
Theresa Flaminio
Theresa Flaminio, a talented musician with a background from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, joined Imagine Dragons for a West Coast tour starting in August 2011. Her connection to the band was rooted in her Berklee ties, where she had studied alongside other members of Imagine Dragons. Flaminio’s temporary addition to the band came at a transitional period following the departure of founding members Brittany and Andrew Tolman.
Aurora Florence
Aurora Florence joined Imagine Dragons in 2008, playing piano, keyboards, and providing backing vocals. Her tenure with the band lasted until 2009, during which she contributed to the band’s burgeoning sound and live performances.
Dave Lemke
Dave Lemke was also part of the early Imagine Dragons lineup, playing bass and contributing backing vocals from 2008 to 2009.
