Marshmello is an American electronic music producer and DJ. His real name is Christopher Comstock, and he is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Marshmello first gained international recognition in 2015 by releasing remixes of songs by Jack Ü and Zedd online. He released his debut single, “WaVeZ,” on SoundCloud in March 2015, followed by a string of singles including “Keep It Mello,” “Bounce,” “Want U 2,” and “Summer.”
In 2016, Marshmello released his debut studio album, Joytime. The album contained the single “Keep It Mello” featuring rapper Omar LinX and reached number five on Billboard’s US Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Later that year, Marshmello released “Alone,” which became his first single to be certified platinum in the United States and reached number 60 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The music video for “Alone” became one of the most-watched electronic music videos on YouTube.
