Paul McCartney has just announced that he is getting back on the road again for a series of 2022 dates and a tour he has called the Got Back Tour. It’s not a huge tour, but we will take anything at this point in time, especially shows for an ex-Beatle. Just think about that, in 2022, rock fans still have another chance to see a Beatle in concert. There aren’t many of us who have ever seen The Beatles in concert. The group just did not perform that much and even being the age of 60 now, I was really to young see a Beatles concert which I probably wouldn’t have really appreciated at three years old. I think I am speaking for a lot of readers here with that. Nonetheless, many of us have seen Paul McCartney in concert as well as Ringo Starr and his All Starr band. There are not as many who ever saw George Harrison and as far as Lennon goes, there weren’t many John Lennon performances in the 70s as he had taken a break from the music business.
Those who have ever seen Paul McCartney during his post Beatles years understand the euphoria of a Paul McCartney concert. Everyone is thinking the same thing at first “that’s a Beatles in the flesh on stage in front of my eyes. Yet, Paul McCartney seems so down to earth as he just seems to toss of the reality that he is probably the greatest songwriter and most popular musician in modern history. Whos’ bigger?
Once you get past the realization your in the same room as a Beatle, your pretty much carried away by the fact that the band that Paul McCartney tours with is a band that is simply amazing. We saw Paul McCartney just a few years ago at Metlife Stadium and the band was just off the charts fantastic. Even though Paul McCartney was a bit hoarse that evening, the band and the music are just so powerful and McCartney is so spirited that anyone who was there underwent a rock and roll religious experience. We pretty much guarantee that it’s the same night after night at every Paul McCartney concert. If you have never seen Paul McCartney in concert, here is another chance to experience the music of The Beatles by a Beatle. It’s something everyone who loves rock and roll should be fortunate enough to experience.
