Our Outfield Songs Ranked list takes a look at the band The Outfield and the success they achieved in the mid to late 1980s. The Outfield were a small British rock trio hailing from London, England. While the group may have been a British Band they were far more successful in the United States where most people thought of them as a US band. The band consisted of Tony Lewis on lead vocals and bass, John Spinks on guitar and Alan Jackman on drums. While most definitely not a power rock trio, the Outfield established themselves with a captivating stage presence as a trio in delivering powerful pop nuggets that were a symbol of the 1980s music scene. The band is best known for their top 10 single entitled “You Love,” which was a mega hit in 1986. The band’s first two albums were certified Gold with the debut going platinum in 1985. They released a handful of albums in the 80s, 90s and 2000s. Sadly, both original members John Spinks and Tony Lewis have since passed away.
