Our Top 10 Black Eyed Peas Songs list looks at the hit songs of one of the most successful r&b, hip hop, pop bands of the 21st century. It’s actually really tough to classify the music of the Black Eyed Peas because they really had their own unique sound. The group was first formed in 1995 in the city of Los Angeles. However, it wasn’t until female vocalist Fergie Duhamel also known as Fergie joined the band in the early 2000s that the group would achieve massive commercial success. The band’s albums Elephunk in 2003 Monkey Business in 2005, The E.N.D. in 2009 and The Beginning in 2010 would spawn hit after hit with multiple number one singles. # 10 -Request Line ft. Macy Gray
We open up our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list with the track “Request Line,” ft. Macy Gray. This was pre Fergie Black Eyed Peas. The song was released on the album entitled Bridging the Gap. It was the fourth single released from the album. The song would become the first single released by The Black Eyed Peas to break into the Billboard top 100 as it peaked at number 63.
# 9 – Rock That Body
Continuing with our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list we take a listen to the great song entitled “Rock That Body” The song was released on the album entitled The E.N.D. The album was released in 2009. It was the fifth and final single released from the album. The song was a top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number nine. It was the fifth top 10 hit released from the album to appear on the Billboard Hot 100. Dig those space outfits although it was a little silly to use chipmunk auto tune on Fergie and waste her wonderful voice.
# 8 – Don’t Phunk with My Heart
In the number eight spot our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list we present the song entitled “Don’t Phunk with My Heart.” Man you gotta love this video, it’s just so much fun. Fergie is simply a dream in so many way in this one. What an incredibly talented artist and entertainer. She sings the chorus from Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam’s mid 80s hit s “I Wonder If I Take You Home” throughout the song. The song was released on the album entitled Monkey Business. The album was released in 2005.”Don’t Phunk with My Heart,” was the first single released from the album. The song was a huge hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number three.
# 7 – Imma Be
In the number seven position our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list is the song entitled “Imma Be.” The song was released on the album entitled The E.N.D. The album was released in 2009. It was the fourth and final single released from the album. The song was also the album’s third number one single on the US Billboard Hot 100. Three number one singles from one album begins to fall into Beatles and Michael Jackson territory. What an album The E.N.D. was. The video for “Imma Be.” is sensational and must be watched.
# 6 – RITMO (Bad Boys For Life) (with J Balvin)
Landing in the number six spot our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list we present the song “Ritmo.” This is one of the group’s most recents hits and one of their most popular songs of recent memory. The chorus from Corona’s early 90s hit song “The Rhythm of the Night” fuels the entire body of the song. The song was released on the soundtrack album to the Will Smith and Martin Lawrence film Bad Boys for Life. The album was released in 2020. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number twenty six.
# 5 – “The Time (Dirty Bit)”
At the halfway point on our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list is the great track “The Time (Dirty Bit)” This one uses the melody from the theme to Dirty Dancing in a very interesting and creative fashion. The song was issued on the album entitled The Beginning. The album was released in 2011. It was the first single released from the album. The song peaked at number four on the US Billboard Hot 100 The song also was a number one hit single in Australia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Switzerland.
# 4 – I Gotta Feeling
At the number four spot on our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list we present the song “I Gotta Feeling.” The song was released on the album entitled The E.N.D. The album was released in 2009. It was the first second released from the album as it followed up the group’s first number one single in the United States entitled “Boom Boom Pow.” The song “I Gotta Feeling,” would also hit number one US Billboard Hot 100 making it to straight number one singles in a row from their album The E.N.D. The song would also go to number one in the countries of Australia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
# 3 – Where Is the Love?
Grooving to this list in the number three spot on our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list we present the great song “Where Is the Love?” This was the band’s first big hit. The song was composed by an entire room of people including Justin Timberlake, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo, Printz Board, Michael Fratantuno and George Pajon. The song was released on the album entitled Elephunk. The album was released in 2003. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number eight. However the song’s universal message of peace turned the song into a massive International number one single as it hit number one in the countries of Australia, Austria, the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Switzerland.
# 2 – My Humps
There are not many groups that would get away with such a big hit sings called “My Humps,”Yet the Black Eyed Peas turned this very catchy and heard turning lyric into a major hit single. While there was a lot of controversy over the song because of his lyrical content one cannot deny how popular and catchy this tune was. It also became one of the band’s biggest selling singles of all time. This one was all Fergie even though it was a duet between Fergie and Will I Am. Fergie just simply dominated this one. “My Humps,” was released on the album entitled Monkey Business. The album was released in 2005. It was the third single released from the album. The song became a number one hit record in the countries of Australia, Ireland, New Zealand and United Kingdom. In the United States, “My Humps,” was a massive hit single on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number three.
# 1 – Boom Boom Pow
We close out our top 10 Black Eyed Peas songs list celebrating the song “Boom Boom Pow.” This one was a huge song for the group. Fergie delivers one of the greatest vocals of her career in the middle section of the song. The song was released on the album entitled The E.N.D. The album was released in 2009. It was the first single released from the album. The song “Boom Boom Pow.” would become the Black Eyed Peas first number one single of their career on the US Billboard Hot 100. But they didn’t stop there with the song. “Boom Boom Pow,” would also become a number one single on the US Billboard Hot Rap Songs Charts, the US Billboard Mainstream Top 40 charts and the US Billboards Rhythmic charts. The song also hit number one on various charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Greece, Israel, and Portugal. That’s what you call my friends a big-time number one single International hit. Additionally, the song also ended the year as the number one single of 2009 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
