The bouncy track is about a man making life better for a woman who is with a man who doesn’t deserve her. The song has an incredible bass intro. They sang this song just as well and with as much passion as one of their ballads. They sound like they are having fun with this song. The song is a masterpiece. The only minor complaint about the song is that it’s a little long. The song is over seven minutes long. Other than that minor complaint, the song is fire.

# 4 – Just Gets Better with Time

# 3 – Living Together (In Sin)

This controversial song is from the One for the Money album. It has an r&b and soul sound to it. This is a risqué song about a man living with a woman without being married to her. This isn’t a problem now because people live together without being married all of the time. This was a problem during the time the song was released because people weren’t doing that type of thing back then. This is a pretty song about a controversial subject. The Whispers tell a story about a couple who want to live their lives together the way they want without judgment.

They never break character while singing about this subject. The music is elegant and melodic. The horn and string sections give the song an orchestral swell. The music isn’t too loud so you can focus on the message of the song. They sound different on the track. They are almost unrecognizable because they sing in a lower key for the majority of the song. They sing in falsetto towards the end of the track. They kept their vocals sweet and simple to match the music. This fabulous song is definitely one of their best tracks.

# 2 – Rock Steady

This upbeat song is from the Just Gets Better with Time album. The song has an r&b and soul sound. This is an energetic song about a guy who falls for a girl he thinks he loves. He’s not sure how she feels about him. This is one of their biggest hits. The upbeat music is guaranteed to get you on your feet. This song is perfect to listen to while you are at a barbecue or a party. It has a New Jack Swing sound that was different for them. The group was famous for their slow jams, but this song blew that out of the water. It’s hard to believe this beat was created in the 80s.

It manages not to sound dated at all. The music sounds just as good today as it would have during that time. The chorus is easy to sing along with the group. It’s infectious and an earworm that will stay in your head all day long. The Scott brothers sang their hearts out on this song. They sound strong and powerful throughout the song. This isn’t in their wheelhouse, but they were able to pull it off. It’s no surprise that it’s one of their biggest hits because the song is flawless. It could have easily been number one on our list, but it lost the coin toss.

# 1 –  And the Beat Goes On

The number one song on our Top 10 The Whispers Songs list is the upbeat “And the Beat Goes On” from The Whispers album. The song has an R&B and soul sound. The metaphoric song is about staying positive during tough times. The beat of the music is a metaphor for life, and it tells you to be strong. The song could also be about a relationship ending and moving on with your life. The song is relevant because of what’s going on today. This is the group’s first number one song, and it’s easy to see why that happened. The funky guitar riffs will hook you instantly.

We dare you to sit still, listening to the infectious beat. This song is also perfect dancing at a barbecue or a club. You can also rock out at home. The twins do an impressive job singing back and forth with each other. They never miss a note with the beat changes. They don’t hold any notes, but they have incredible runs in the songs. The group utilizes their amazing harmonies. Everything about this song works. There aren’t enough compliments to describe how fantastic this song is. This song is flawless and deserved to be number one on the charts as well as on our list.
