The 10th song on our Top 10 Westlife Songs list is “Queen of My Heart” from the World of Our Own album. The song was released in November 2001. The song is about unconditional love and the importance of the person in your life. A man is enamored and devoted to the lady in his life. He considers her a queen. He treasures her with all his heart. It doesn’t matter who she loves he will be hers. She’s the one he needs in his life. Westlife talks about the ups and downs of love. The ninth song on our Top 10 Westlife Songs list is “Hello My Love” from the Spectrum album. The song was released in January 2019. It’s about how lucky a man is to have a woman like her love him. He drives her crazy, but she still loves him. He’s not perfect by any means, but the one thing he’s sure about is she is the one for him. She overlooks his flaws and loves him anyway. Happiness didn’t exist for him until he found the woman of his dreams. People take advantage of her despite the good things she does. Her heart is pure and beautiful. She feels as if she’s not enough, but he knows that she is. Her love is all he’s ever wanted. He has been searching his entire life for someone like her.

“Hello My Love” is an ode to a woman a man loves. She has unconditional love for him. It’s a sweet song about how lucky a man feels to have found the woman of his dreams. Love can be hard to find so when you do find it it’s like a blessing. This song conveys that message. If you are grateful for the love you have found in your life, this song will resonate with you. This song is from Westlife’s reunion album.

They proved that the time apart didn’t hurt their sound. They still deliver when it concerns a love song. The song is different from their normal sound, but it fits for the group. They proved that change doesn’t have to be a bad thing. This is a love song with tempo. They put you on the dance floor with this jam. Here’s a fun fact. Singer Ed Sheeran co-wrote this track. It sounds like something he would have recorded himself. This song is sure to please their fans and gain them some new ones.

The is about a man who assures his partner that he’s not going to leave her. Their love is going to last forever. People they used to know wanted to give up on their relationships, but they’re still together. He’s never going to say goodbye because he doesn’t want to hurt her.

He swore to her that their love would last. He promises that he won’t treat her badly because he doesn’t want to see her sad. People say that love won’t last, but he doesn’t believe it. When he looks in her eyes, he sees a love that burns eternally. If she saw how beautiful she was to him, she would know that he wasn’t lying. They’re going to have tough times, but if they strive to work things out their love will last.

“Swear It Again” is a moving song about a man assuring his partner that their love will never die. The lyrics are loving and will put a smile on your face. The group says things in the song that people wish they could say to the people they love. You can let this song be your guide on how to convince the person you love that your love will never die. Westlife are at home with love ballads.

They pour their hearts out in this song. They may not have written the lyrics, but they convince you that they did write them. The music is stirring and will melt your heart. The music is what you would expect to hear with the theme of the song. Westlife sound fantastic on the track. They sing it beautifully and may make you a believer of love. They come alive in the chorus. They belt when they get to the chorus. Their harmonies are explosive. The song is a masterpiece. Everything about it works.

# 7 – What About Now

The seventh song on our list is “What About Now” from the Where We Are album. The track came out in October 2009. “What About Now” is a story about a fading relationship. The song opens with a man struggling to keep is relationship together. He wants to get past their fighting and work things out. The singer is ready to move beyond their problems. He questions her about their relationship. He wants her to give their relationship a chance before it’s too late. His heart is breaking, but she can fix it with her presence. He wants to be by her side because his love is with her. There’s no need for her to be afraid about the obstacles coming between them. They’ve come too far to let everything end. He will be there for her because he is hers.

“What About Now” is a captivating song about keeping a relationship alive. The lyrics are profound and will make you think. The lyrics are deep. This track is one of the few songs on our list that tackles a relationship that’s on the verge of breaking up. If the song sounds familiar to you, it should because it’s a cover of Daughtry’s song. Westlife honored the original version. They recorded a duet version and Chris Daughtry sang the track alone. Other than that change, the songs are similar to each other.

Chris Daughtry’s vocals are a little stronger, but Westlife do an amazing job with the song. It could have been too big for them since they don’t record rock music, but they pulled it off. This track gave the group a chance to spread their wings and embrace their rock side. They turned it into a power ballad. Their harmonies are fantastic in the song. Their version won’t make you forget Daughtry’s version, but it’s an excellent cover.

# 6 – Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now) Mariah Carey ft. Westlife

“Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)” appears on Mariah Carey’s Rainbow album and Westlife’s Coast to Coast album. The track was released in September 2000. The song is about moving on from a past relationship. The song opens with Shane Filan wondering how he could let her walk away and let her leave. While he’s watching her, he’s taking every breath of her. Mariah Carey questions how he could walk away from her. All she could do was watch him go.

They’ve had good and bad times together. He’s the only one who knew her. Now that he’s gone, there’s nothing left to remind her of him. The only memory she has is of his face. She must face that it’s against the odds that he will come back to her. In verse three, Mark Feehily wishes he could make her turn around so she could see him cry. He has a lot to say to her. He lets her know that she’s the only one who knew him.

The song was made famous by Phil Collins. Mariah Carey originally recorded the song alone, but she did another version with Westlife. Westlife’s vocals were added to her version and the instrumentation was changed. The song was brilliantly produced because you would never know they didn’t record it together. Mariah Carey knows how to make a song her own and she brought Westlife with her. This version has more harmonies than the original version and her version. Westlife’s harmonies add something special to the song.

The song is bigger with Westlife added to it. Mariah Carey shines as bright as ever on the song. She is one of the power divas and it will take a lot for people to sing with her. Westlife were up for the challenge. They were able to sing with her. The changes that were included in this version are subtle, but very good. This version of the song is just as good as Phil Collins’ and Mariah Carey’s versions of it. All of their versions are worth checking out.

The days pass and he finds himself thinking about her. No one knows how he feels about her because he keeps his feelings hidden.

He wished he had the courage to let her know how he feels because he’s never been this much in love before. If he lets her go, he’ll never know what it’s like to hold her close to him. The singer will never get to see her smiling at him if he doesn’t let her know how he feels. In verse two, he wonders why the feeling won’t go away. No one is like her. She speaks to his heart. It’s too bad they are worlds apart. He’s too shy to ask her out and too proud to lose out on her. Sooner or later he has to make a decision.

“If I Let You Go” is a poignant song about someone who is afraid to let the woman he loves know how he feels. Loving someone from afar is painful. You’re wrestling with whether you should confess your feelings to the person you love. This is a subject that could affect people of all ages. The lyrics are relatable because it can happen to anyone. The song is told from a man’s point of view, but women can relate to it too. If you have a crush on someone, this is your song.

The music is melodic. It’s a pop ballad with tempo. The song is reminiscent of Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way” and NSYNC’s “God Must Have Spent a Little More Time on You.” The guys sing their hearts out on this song. You can feel their passion as they sing the lyrics. Brian McFadden holds a note after the bridge. We didn’t think it was going to happen and we were impressed. He saved the best part for last. We must praise their harmonies once again because they nail them on this song. They do everything right with this song.

This is when you are “flying without wings.” They continue to talk about where you could find the things that complete you. In verse three, the song takes a romantic turn. The singer talks about waking up beside the woman he loves. He loves watching the sun rise on her face. He loves how he can tell her how he feels any time of the day.

“Flying Without Wings” is a song about finding happiness when you least expect it. The song encourages listeners that anything can make you happy. This song is vital for people who are having trouble finding happiness. This song gives you hope that you can be happy too. Westlife doesn’t want listeners to give up on finding their true happiness. This beautiful song is inspirational without being sappy. This is a song we didn’t know we needed until we got it. This song was recorded in the late 1990s, but still holds up today. Westlife delivers on their vocals. They take us to church with this song. They aren’t afraid to belt, and we love that. If you weren’t a fan of this group before, this song will turn you into one. This song is brilliant and will be hard to stop listening to it.

# 3 -You Raise Me Up

Coming in at number three is “You Raise Me Up” from the Face to Face album. The single was released in October 2005. The song is about love and faith being able to get you through tough times. The song opens with the singer talking about the struggles he goes through. He struggled until someone was there to lift him up. Thanks to this person he can stand on mountains and walk on stormy seas. He can be more than he thought he could be.

“You Raise Me Up” is an uplifting song about overcoming obstacles and having someone to help you overcome them. The song teaches you that you can overcome obstacles if you have someone there to help you. It will give you hope if you are lost and need someone to be there for you. The lyrics are universal because anyone can help you get through your pain. We like how the lyrics aren’t just about a lover.

This is a love song that could be to anyone in your life. This is a cover of Secret Garden’s song. Westlife had big shoes to fill because Josh Groban’s version is arguably the most popular version. Westlife’s version isn’t a slouch. They do an amazing job with this cover. Their version is a mix of Secret Garden’s and Josh Groban’s versions. Mark Feehily and Shane Filan show vocal strength on this track. They turn the track into a power ballad. They get an A+ for their version of this song.

# 2 – My Love

“My Love” is from the Coast to Coast album. The single came out in October 2000. The track is about a man longing for a lost love. He wished he could go back in time when they were together. The singer is lonely and lost without her. It bothers him that he can’t reach out to her. As the song progresses, he prays that he could reunite with her. He wishes he could hold her in his arms again. If he had the chance, he would tell her how he feels. She’s all he thinks about. He hopes his dreams will take him to a place where he can see her once again.

“My Love” is about a man lamenting about a past love. He longs to be with his lover again. The lyrics are genuine and express a yearning to be back with the love he lost. The lyrics are unforgettable. They will touch your heart. The song will hit you differently if you lost the one you love. You might feel like the song was written about your life. You can feel the words as they recite them especially if you have been hurt before. This is the type of song you listen to with the shades down. The melancholy lyrics may have you longing for the one who got away.

The acoustic beat is just what the doctor ordered. You might find yourself in a trance listening to the beat. Shane Filan, Brian McFadden and Mark Feehily are phenomenal in the lead vocals. They all get a chance to shine in the song. They nail the verses. Shane Filan and Mark Feehily missed opportunities to hit big notes, but we applaud their efforts for trying. The group’s harmonies are perfect. You will fall in love with this song.

# 1 – Uptown Girl

The number one song on our Top 10 Westlife Songs list is “Uptown Girl.” It appears on the Coast to Coast European Reissue Bonus Track. It was released in March 2001. The song is about a man who falls in love with a woman from a wealthy background. She is used to a different lifestyle from him. He feels she’s looking for someone who’s more interesting than he is. She’s looking for a downtown man. He wants to show her that he can be the man for her.

“Uptown Girl” was originally recorded by Billy Joel. Westlife took a chance covering this track because this is one of his biggest hits in the 1980s. The song was a hit for the group too so fans obviously loved their version too. Billy Joel’s version is a masterpiece, but Westlife’s version shines too. The group mostly sticks with Billy Joel’s version. They kept the doo wop flow of the song. The instrumentation is slightly different from the original version. Westlife’s version is pop and dance friendly while the original is pop and rock friendly. If you never heard the original version, this change wouldn’t be a problem. All the guys get a chance to step up to the mic and sing this song. Shane Filan and Mark Feehily sing most of their tracks so this one gives them a chance to show what they can do. You won’t forget Billy Joel’s version, but this is an excellent cover.
