The Linda Lindas is one of the most popular musical groups of recent memory. I love bands like this. The Linda Lindas formed in 2018 in Los Angeles, beginning as a casual project for a performance. It was, at the start, just a family affair. Martin Wong, Eloise Wong’s father, assembled the band with young relatives and family friends, including his nieces Lucia and Mila de la Garza and their family friend Bela Salazar. Initially a one-time act, they continued to perform and gained recognition, notably for their song “Racist, Sexist Boy,” which went viral in 2021. They’ve since signed with Epitaph Records and released their debut album Growing Up, and the rest is history, or at least the start of history. Their music is reminiscent of the early 2000s punk revival when bands like Green Day, Blink-182, and others found great success.
The Linda Lindas EP

The EP was entirely written by the band members, recorded from September 4-7, 2020, and produced and mixed by Carlos de la Garza at Music Friends Studios, Eagle Rock, CA. The EP was a splendid showcase for what was soon to come.
