If your a fan of Adele’s music, than the weekend of November 13th and 14th will be a special one for you. Millions of Adele fans or at least that’s what CBS hopes, will be tuning in for Adele’s One Night Only Concert Special which airs on November 14th at 8:30 pm eastern standard time and then will also be streaming on Paramount+ which is owned by CBS. If you don’t have Paramount+ you still will be able to watch the special on free tv Sunday night special but will only be able to stream it afterwards on Paramount+ if you miss it.
Adele will be competing with Sunday Night Football’s Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders game at the same time. Although we think there may be a base of Adele fans who may have no interest in the game, But who knows. Sunday Night is the biggest Prime Time spot of the week even during Football season and CBS is betting that the combination of Adele and Oprah Winfrey who will interviewing Adele will be a huge draw. Remember the last time Oprah Winfrey did a Sunday Night CBS interview with Prince Harry and Meghan back in March of 2021,. The ratings went through the ozone layer faster than you can say William Shatner and Blue Origin.
The CBS Adele Special presents a concert performance that took place in Los Angeles at the Griffith Observatory. The concert portion of the program will include ten musical performances from Adele. The song selection is a mix of old Adele standards which sounds kind of strange saying and a presentation of new material form Adele’s upcoming 30 album. The songs performed include the concert opener “Hello,” which seems like the perfect song to open a concert. Other Adele classics include the James Bond theme from Skyfall also entitled “Skyfall,” “Someone Like You,” “When We Were Young,” and the Bob Dylan song “Make You Feel My Love,” which Adele had turned into a hit. Adele also performs her first big hit “Rolling in the Deep.”
Among the new songs from her upcoming album 30 which will are in the special are the songs “Easy On Me,” “I Drink Wine,” “Hold On,” and “Love Is a Game,” which closes out the concert. CBS makes sure to show the television audience that there are many celebrities that are big fans of Adele . Besides her swarm of dedicated loving fans in attendance, the audience at the concert also featured in attendance big stars such as James Corden (whose Late Night Producers also had a hand in producing the Adele Special, it is on CBS) Dwyane Wade (come in everyone knows Dwayne is a big Adele fan) Tyler Perry and the new hit hot hip hop star of the moment Lizzo.
Adele’s One Night Only Concert Special will serve as the ultimate promotional tool to help promote Adele’s new album entitled 30 which will be released two weeks after the special airs. Unlike Adele’s previous albums 19, 21 and 25 which were named after her age at the time of their release, Adele’s new album 30 seems to define a time period in her life rather than her actual age that is now 33. That time period saw Adele dealing with many grown up issues that all of us deal with like depression, divorce, heath issues, and just about everything else one can think of. Those issues supposably fuel the material on the new album as well as the discussion that Oprah Winfrey has with Adele in the interview. You know Oprah Winfrey, she is going to dig deep and go for the headlines. This should be a very entertaining special.
