Devon Allman, Duane Betts, and Berry Duane Oakley founded The Allman Betts Band in November 2018, bringing together a group rooted in southern rock tradition. Devon Allman is the son of Gregg Allman, Duane Betts is the son of Dickey Betts, and Berry Duane Oakley is the son of Berry Oakley, all founding members of the Allman Brothers Band. Bless Your Heart received critical acclaim and expanded the band’s musical palette, drawing on blues, soul, country, and southern rock influences. The band’s touring in support of the album included headline shows, festival dates, and collaborations with artists such as Samantha Fish and Jimmy Hall. The Allman Betts Band was recognized at the 2021 Blues Music Awards, receiving a nomination for Blues Rock Album of the Year.

The band’s members have appeared in various media interviews and features, discussing the influence of their family histories and the experience of carrying forward the Allman Brothers Band tradition while developing their own sound.
