The Subways were formed in 2002 in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. The band consists of Billy Lunn (vocals, guitar), Charlotte Cooper (bass, vocals), and Josh Morgan (drums). They quickly gained recognition for their energetic live performances and dynamic rock sound, characterized by catchy hooks and raw power. The Subways rose to fame after winning a national unsigned band competition, which secured them a spot on the Glastonbury Festival’s New Bands stage in 2004. The band has released five studio albums: Young for Eternity (2005), All or Nothing (2008), Money and Celebrity (2011), The Subways (2015), and Uncertain Joys (2023). Young for Eternity is the debut studio album by British rock band The Subways. All or Nothing, the second studio album by The Subways, was produced by Butch Vig, famed for his work with Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins. Recorded at Conway Recording Studios in Los Angeles, California, from late 2007 to early 2008, the album features the same lineup as their debut.
