In one of rock and roll’s greatest duets, Bruce Springsteen joined Melissa Etheridge onstage to perform his classic song,“Thunder Road.” Before she performed the song, Melissa told a great story about Bruce before the stunned crowd. Melissa’s story defined just how much of an inspiration Springsteen’s music was on her career. The Springsteen & Etheridge duet brought together two generations of fans from different backgrounds.
The Bruce Springsteen song first appeared on the Bruce Springsteen classic album Born To Run. The album was released in 1975. The album Born To Run has been hailed by many critics as the greatest rock and roll record off all time. The song “Thunder Road,” appears as the first track on the album. Many Bruce Springsteen fans have labeled “Thunder Road,” as their favorite Bruce Springsteen Song. It is often cited along such favorites as “Born To Run, Backstreets, Born in the U.S.A., Rosalita,and The River.”
