The band released their second album entitled Fugazi in 1984 and then enjoyed tremendous success with their third album entitled Misplaced Childhood in 1985. The band’s next album Clutching At Straws that was released in 1987, continued the band’s international success from both an economics and artistic standpoint.
Marillion ended their 1980’s period with the album Seasons End. The band’s lead singer Fish had already left the band and their new vocalist Steve Hogarth would begin a career with the band that still finds him in the lead vocal chair in 2018.
From 1983 to 2016, the band Marillion has released eighteen studio albums. Marillion has also released nine live albums and thirty six singles. They have remained together longer than most progressive rock bands and currently stand as one of the most loved progressive rock groups ever, both internationally, and especially in Europe. We have attempted to define some of their best material throughout the course of their career, but found ourselves drawn very much to the music of their 1980’s period.
