# 10 – Love House

We open up our top 10 Samantha Fox songs list with a song appropriately titled in the world of Samantha Fox called “Love House.” The song was released on the album entitled I Wanna Have Some Fun. The record company released the song as the first single from the album in the UK but held onto it for the third single release in the United States. There are some creepy characters in this video. It almost felt like they were trying to do a Michael Jackson “Thriller,” thing. The song and album were released in 1988.

# 9 – I Only Wanna Be With You

Dancing along with Samantha Fox  we take a listen at number nine to the classic song entitled “I Only Wanna Be With You.” This is one that has been done many times. The song originally was released by Dusty Springfield in 1963. Annie Lennox recorded the song with her band The Tourists in 1979. And for those who were teens in the 70s, you probably remember the Bay City Rollers version in 1976. The Samantha Fox version of the song was released on the album entitled I Wanna Have Some Fun The album was released in 1988. The cheery song “I Only Wanna Be With You,” was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number thirty one. It was a top 20 hit in the United Kingdom.

This was a big one and one of  Samantha Fox’s first big hits. # 2 -I Wanna Have Some Fun

Samantha Fox released a pop gem with this one. Yes, Cyndi Lauper said it first but she was talking about all girls, Samantha Fox is just talking about herself. But would you argue with her? The fun tune “I Wanna Have Some Fun,” was released on the album entitled I Wanna Have Some Fun. The album was released in 1988. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number eight. More significantly for Samantha Fox, the song became her first and only Gold selling single of her career. The song “I Wanna Have Some Fun,” was composed by the group Full Force.

# 1 – Touch Me (I Want Your Body)

We close out our top 10 Samantha Fox songs list with the song entitled “Touch Me (I Want Your Body).” The song was released on her debut album in 1986. This was the song that turned heads and put her on the charts as a legitimate pop star. Bar bands covered this one, it was all over the radio, it was really a big song in the mid-1980s rock scene. It might not have stood the test of time, but it is very reflective of the time period and anyone who grew up in the 80s most definitely remembers this one.
