Not only is Shakira number one in the category of commercial success of female Latin artists, she is also one of the biggest selling artists of all time as she sold over seventy five million records throughout her most magical and exciting career. Shakira is also considered one of the greatest crossover artists in history as she has had extreme success on the Latin music charts as well as the pop music charts in similar fashion as Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine had in the 1980s and 90s. Most of Shakira’s crossover success began in 2001 when she released her first English Language album entitled Laundry Service. The album featured a pair of singles that went number one around the world.

Throughout her career Shakira has won multiple Grammy Awards. She has released eleven studio albums, numerous compilations and close to seventy singles. Our to 10 Shakira songs list will look to present ten of her most famous songs and career highlights.

# 10 – Estoy Aquí

# 6 – Can’t Remember to Forget You

Falling into the number six spot on our top 10 Shakira songs list we present the song ” “Can’t Remember to Forget You.” Oh baby is this video smoking hot! The single “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” also featured the stunning Rihanna.The two of them in video is almost too much too take. The song “Can’t Remember to Forget You,” was released on the album entitled Shakira.  The album was released in 2014.  It was the second single released from the album. The song was a top 20 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number fifteen. The song also was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs Charts reaching all the way up to number six.

# 5 – Chantaje

At the halfway point on our top 10 Shakira songs list is we present the rhythmic  song entitled ” Chantage.” The song featured Latin singer Maluma singlong alongside the breathtaking Shakira. The song was issued on the album entitled El Dorado. The album was released in 2016. It was the second single released from the album. # 4 – “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)”

This song was a monumental seller around the world.  The song hit  number one in Belgium, Germany, France and Italy. The song came close to number one in the USA as it hit number two on the US Billboard Latin Music Charts.

# 3 – La Tortura

Moving along on our top 10 Shakira songs list we present the pulsating song entitled “La Tortura.” Oh man is this one so good. The song was released on the album entitled Fijación Oral Vol. 1 The album was released in 2005. It was the follow up album to her breakout album Laundry Service. The song “La Tortura,” also featured Alejandro Sanz. “La Tortura,” was the first single released from the album. The song was a massive hit on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs Charts peaking at number one. The song also was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 Charts reaching all the way up to number twenty three.

# 2 – Whenever, Wherever

Just of the top spot on our top 10 Shakira songs list we celebrate the jubilant song entitled “Whenever, Wherever.” The song was released on the album entitled Laundry Service. The album was released in 2001. It was the first single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number six. We close out our top 10 Shakira songs list with the energetic song entitled “Hips Don’t Lie.” This was biggest hit Shakira ever released. It was also her only number one single in the United States of America in her entire career. Just one of those Universal songs with a rhythm that everyone around the world fell in love with. Shakira’s vocal performance on this one was just simply phenomenal.”Hips Don’t Lie,” also featured Wyclef Jean.

“Hips Don’t Lie,” was released on the album entitled Oral Fixation Vol. 2. The album was released in 2006. It was the second single released from the album. The song was a hit on the US Billboard Hot 100 peaking at number one. The song also was a hit on the US Billboard Hot Latin Songs Charts reaching all the way up to number one. In the United Kingdom the song hit number one.  On the Australian ARIA Music Sales Charts the song hit number one. The song also hit number one in Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Romania, Scotland, Venezuela, and Switzerland. It has become one of the biggest selling singles of all time. Unbelievable!
